Alright, so I decided that my newest obsession is going to make xanga sites/blogs. I love making graphic designs and I need a good place to post them all.

So anyways I just had a quick question on making custom skins. I was wondering if you need to make a special header graphic, background, and border type thing? Obviously the last one I am totally confused on. I read all the tuts and was hoping it would mention something about how to make the graphics, but no luck. Also, what would be good dimensions?

Well if you're gonna make a simple site with modules and a banner I suggest 700 width and 400 height, and i know for the graphics there are some good tutorials here and you can find some good textures.

Well thank you for the demensions and I know theire are probably the best tuts I can find for xanga here. But they never really say how many different images I need. I've seen on other sites, their layout is strickly a header and the beginning of the background. If that all all makes any sense.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, say I make an image for my blog at 700x400, with that consist the background, header and custom modules in it?

well after you make the image you have to position the modules onto it as for the border there is a code for it but i forgot you could go to body's tha has a border and check the source

Actually if you wanted a background maybe 20 by 20 and you can make it repeat and for the blogs and modules you can make those trasparent so you see the background.

Alright thanks that makes some sense. I will probably be stopping by here often and looking for people to listen to my constant whining why the CSS is broken, but for now. I'm good, thanks.
