I searched the term "invisible", and I got 6 results, so I hope no one has made this topic.

How many of you have signed in as invisble on createblog, either once, or constantly?

Most of the time I sign in as invisible, ever since that "big brother is watching" thing at the bottom.

I've pretty much always logged in as invisible. I still remember back last year when I was the only person who logged in under invisible. Sigh. My solitary days are over.

I don't think I've ever signed in as invisible before.

I don't think it really matters whether you're on the online list or not.

nope. i RARELY sign in invisible. i've like only done it about 3 times. sleeping.gif

and i don't understand what the big deal about the "big brother" thing is...are y'all afraid of something? i mean, it just says what you're doing. people can easily find that out just by clicking your username so if you are just now signing in as invisible due to this MEMBERS VIEWING thing, than you are a little late.

I don't normally sign on as invisible on forums, cuz either way it shows up as "*insert number here* anonymous user" so it's all the same.

that's not how it works on createBlog. whenever you sign in as invisible on cB, your name doesn't show up on the ACTIVE USERS list located at the board index, your status over there..
<-------------------
says OFFLINE & whenever they click on your profile, it still says that you are offline. the only info that you can get while invisible is LAST TIME ACTIVE. wink.gif

Um. I sign in under invisible not because of the 'members viewing' feature; I don't mind that people know when I'm on cB - I just hate the ones that stalk me and post at whatever topic I'm looking at (yes, it happened before).

It's by habit now. Even if the big brother thing wasn't here, I'd still sign in invisible. Besides, my dad is parinoid, and thinks a stalker is going to find me because you guys can see what topic I am viewing. ph34r.gif Ah well, as long as he doesn't kick me off I'm happy to sign in as invisible.

The literary reference is found in Orwell's 1984

It is a tool for managing html documents

It is some kind of a reality show that has cameras that spy on people or something of that nature.

It is a youth organization

It's also an award

I only call it "Big Brother", because that was the first name I ever heard everyone call it, so now it feels weird to call it "members viewing".
