Tell me, tell me what "R.E.N.T." stands for?
A little hint: It's spelled RENT. No dots.
Its so sad that so many people say they love rent, but all they know is the "525,600 minutes" song. -.-

Tell me, which song do you like better?
525,600 minutes or Seasons of Love?

It was absolutely amazing.

More than the acting, the songs, the characters .. it's the message of Rent that makes me feel Thanksgiving spirity. No Day But Today. Forget Regret. The scars of all the nevers and maybies die.

Thank you Jonathan Larson.

I saw it today, and I loved it. It was really good, and maybe a bit better than the Broadway play. The whole cast and acting was really good, the songs were excellent and very emotional. I kinda cried when Angel died and when Roger was singing to Mimi while she was almost dying.
Overall, I would give it 5 stars (out of 5). Liked it so much <3.

I might die tonight for sharing this following post. So if I do, tell my mother I love her.

So RENT... hmm. The much talked about film. I will state first off that I know only one thing about it. It was on broadway. Now, I'm sorry that maybe I'm not catching on to the plot, but the commercials are not helping me out. So far from what I make of it, all this movie is about is 8 people who know eachother and have problems and they solve them. Yay. The end. My friend says he's thrilled and he cant wait to see it. I look at him and tell him "you have no life". Cause I cannot grasp the concept of this movie. What is this movie about? Then guess what he pops out with. This may be true. He says that they all have AIDS. Is this true? Omg, is this true? Cause then, thats just shocking. Whatever the case, I will go and see this movie about 8 or more friends with AIDS, and I will witness for myself the glory that everyone is raving about. I can't wait, because my curiousity killed the cat long before I even knew about it.

I will probably come back and post about how much I enjoyed the movie. 5 bucks says I enjoy the movie. Whos in?

^Well it wasn't exactly like the play. I mean come on, it was PG13, how like erotic, sexified, drugged out can it be!

I've never seen the play, but now that I've seen the film I want to. Is there really a big difference between the play, and film?

Tell me, which song do you like better?
525,600 minutes or Seasons of Love?

lol, there is no song called "525,600 minutes" in RENT. It happens to just be the opening lyric in "Seasons of Love". So basically you are talking about the same song.

Yah, you might wanna learn about the story line and see the movie before you make a judgement. And no not everyone has AIDS in the movie. If you aren't a fan of musicals either you might have a hard time watching it as well. And it still is playing on Broadway now. It's a much deeper story then just 8 people who know each other and solve their problems. I won't ruin it for you, but def go see the movie and post back on what you think of it.

I think she was just being sarcastic, because everyone kept saying "525,600 minutes" instead of "Seasond of Love".

I'm digging the girl who does the backflip in the commercial. I would ask when this movie is coming out, but I'm sure some smart ass would say look it up. Ive seen that curly haired guy somewhere.

Now that I've got this DVD, I can't stop watching it. I've pretty much memorized all the songs.

The sad thing is, them ore I watch it, the harder I cry when Angel dies. It's not just crying, it's bawling!

Bleh... I don't know why you guys loved that movie.

For me, I was like... half-asleep watching that movie.
I didn't know it was a broadway movie. I thought r.e.n.t. will be some action kind of movie -_-;; but it's all broadway.

I'm not bored at broadway shows... I just didn't like the R.E.N.T. movie cause it put me to sleep -__-

the movie is awesome.
and it's just as awesome on stage.

i have some pictures when my school and another school sang downtown as street performers to promote the movie if you want to see.

here are some pictures when i watched it in new york..
(after the show with the cast)

i also have a video clip on YouTube from my school's musical. yes, we did a broadway revue and RENT was one of the featured shows. if you want to see "Seasons of Love" or "RENT" let me know biggrin.gif

Can you say the word obsessssseeeedddd. Because that is what I am. I am refered to as Mimi (next to Jelinda and Taxi), because I took a quiz that said what character off of Broadway I'm most like. My friend got Maureen, so I call her Maureen (or Tiffaba...).

Le anyhoodle. I looove the OBC, with Daphne. Daphne is perfect for Mimi. Her voice is so raw. Not that Rosario wasn't good. Rosario rocks. Out loud. Really loud. So does Tracie. I own the DVD and I cry whenever I watch it. It's a very emotionally draining movie.

My fav character is definately Angel. ^^

But the movie is NOT amazing. In fact, it's really, really bad. The music is pretty good, but the best song is Seasons of Love, and that's the first one in the show. And as for your comments on the current cast, um hel-LO, all the original cast members are in the movie except for two. And Rosario Dawson is a better singer than the original Mimi.
