aim icon help

well i made a aim icon on the jasc animation thingy but it wont fit on aim and i dont know how to make the file any smaller. i tryed seaching for it but it wont let me because aim is less then 4 letters long _dry.gif so if anyone finds something on this could you give me the link...?

what do you mean it wont fit on aim? do you mean the file is too big? please be more specific. _smile.gif

well the size of aim icon is like 48x48. but they also allow 50x50 of icon size.
7168 bytes is the maxime. i hope that helps _unsure.gif

maybe in your animation you have way to many frames. Which can make the file way to big . The less animation you have the smaller the file.

well they said that there were too many bytes i think it was.. and also i only have a couple of frames probably around 3 or 4

do those frames have pictures and/or a lot of text?

yea exactly wat was said here...aim is being retarted by not letting us use bigger icons blink.gif

no there arnt alot of pictures or words it only about 5 letters a frame and i have about 3 frames...is that 2 much?

Yes, that can be too much. Depending on what kind of animation you have.

Especially with animation shop. they have all those custom animations or whatever, and seriously, that'll do it too. What Toyaaa said.

It Doesn't matter what program you use.
It depends on how many frames and how big the file is.
The more frames the bigger the file.

thx for helping but i wanna find out how to make an icon fit so that whenever i feel like making an icon i can. i dont wanna have to ask u guys to make an icon evrytime i want a new one....

One frame, non-animated. If you do animate, be sure to optimize the file, make it of medium quality... You remind me of why I detest AIM. hehe.gif
