I don't like getting teeth pulled out. Cause of all the bleeding and the swelling. Has anyone had their wisdom teeth pulled out yet? Do they knock you out? Numb you?

I had all four of mine out when I was 18. I was knocked out (which isn't the safest method).

Actually, I don't know. I've only heard rumors that numbing is better and there maybe side effects to being knocked out by gas...

My brother has. When they knock you out complete, you're like drowsy for the rest of the day and the next. Numbing is better.

Well i almost did have all my teeth to be pull out but 1-2 teeth per each visit.
i may be the first cB with lots of teeth pull out in my past.

Dont get too nervous about it even it's blood.
Be brave about it.
It will not kill you at all.

Trust me, i gone through all those pain.

I have a major teeth pull out also.

i have 3 extra teeth hiding under my gum

Luckly, i pull the 3 teeth that was in the extra teeth's way.

They got rid of my roots also.

Good luck. You'll feel so much go dam better after you're done with the paper package out of your mouth for at least 2 hours.

Then, treat yourself with creamy mints ice cream with strawberry syrup on top. Topped with chocolate sprinkle and strawberry.

Thats what i did. I love those good shit.

edit.

Before the process of teeth pull out, they gave you a pain-relieving pills so you dont feel much pain of your teeth when it pulls out. They would numb your gum and lip also. Dont worry so much. Just close your eyes and think positive. Thats what i did. happy.gif

That's all from my experiences.

nm, dont trust me or believe me. i was confused because you say "wisdom" teeth. Anyways, my brother did have his wisdom teeth pullout (long time ago). He ate alot of jello. dammit, i couldnt have some.

It was horrible. They hooked me up with all these monitors to see you're heart rate and breathing and they hooked me up with an IV. They numbed me but I was still awake. Then when I went home I passed out on the sofa for over 3 hours.

My face is still swollen and yesterday I had to take like more than 10 pills. I've been eating rice in soup and mashed potatoes in gravy from KFC. I've kinda been slurping them into my mouth. And to top it off...my parents keep taking pictures of my swollen face! They say I remind them of the guy from Nutty Professor. WHICH I M SO NOT!

Wow, your parents sounds disturbing. What a wierdo. blink.gif

Wow, we both use the same method of eating.
Where's the ice cream? biggrin.gif
Well, i think it's time for you to go buy some campell soup(sp?).
or sweet and sour soup packet at your local asian supermarket.
(It's really good but someone have to make them for you. it's pretty easy to make simple soup.)

Ask your mom if they can add bits of green onions to your soup (any soup).

I get different numbers from different sites. lol. very confusing.

QUOTE
and if they erupt it is usually between 17-21 years old
source

QUOTE
Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars are the last teeth to erupt. This occurs usually between the ages of 17 and 25.
source

QUOTE
Wisdom teeth are third molars that usually appear between the ages of 18 and 20 (although they may appear when older, or fail to appear at all).

QUOTE
They are called "wisdom teeth" because they usually appear during a person's late teens or early twenties,

QUOTE
These teeth typically appear between the ages of 17 to 26.

QUOTE
They are called wisdom teeth because usually they come in when a person is between 17 and 21 years or older, during what has been called the "age of wisdom."

as you can see... 15 doesn't begin the 'wisdom age', that's why i was suprised.

i had my lower two wisdom teeth taken out already. they were preventing my molars from coming out. all they did was numb my mouth and give me laughing gas. tongue.gif it wasn't such a risky operation to the point where i had to get it done at the hospital. at first it didn't hurt, but then when i got home, i started crying from the pain so my mom had to rush out and get the painkillers. all i ate was mashed potatoes from kfc, too. lolz i eventually got tired of it. i just think it's better to have that done now than later.

Ok, look people! lol. I'm FIFTEEN and my appointment for taking out my wisdom teeth is AUGUST 2, which is TOMORROW. So obviously my wisdom teeth must have been growing even BEFORE I turned 15. So yes, it's possible to take out your wisdom teeth before you're 16 or whatever.

Just because someone says they're taking out their wisdom teeth or already did, doesn't mean the wisdom teeth have actually erupted past the gums. It could just mean they're getting it surgically removed...as in they're going to dig in there (Ugh, makes me look forward to tomorrow stubborn.gif ) and take out the wisdom teeth before they grow anymore.

And it's best to take them out before you get "old" 'cause there will be less complications and it'll heal better.

Just thought this might answer some questions.

Oh and yeah, you know your wisdom teeth are growing when your dentist takes X-Rays. Fun fun.

Please read the thread. No one is saying that it's impossible for someone to have surgery before 15. Don't be ridiculous. Do you know what words I was using? "Growing past the gums", "" and "erupt" doesn't tantamount to saying it's impossible to have wisdom teeth before the age of 15. Again, a ridiculous assumption from you not reading correctly.

You're not answering any question I didn't know before. Thanks... for pointing out the obvious.

Those posts ^ made me think you guys didn't think wisdom teeth were surgically taken out at age fifteen or younger. The words "coming out" and "wisdom teeth out" sounded like you meant TAKING them out, not having them ERUPT past the gums.

I'm sorry if I made "ridiculous assumptions". Don't hate me. Sheesh.

Oh and thanks for the sympathy. I have two big holes in my gums, a huge chipmonk cheek, and pain. Yup, I'm definitely having fun over here.

YES, I read the thread. Jeeze, no need to be so snappy about it. I wasn't trying to "point out the obvious".

...

then what do you think this post was for? Sounds like "erupt" was used endlessly to me.

as you can see... 15 doesn't begin the 'wisdom age', that's why i was suprised.

I apologize for 'sounding snappy', but that's it.

That is how I write to people who make assumptions when they never finished reading the thread and I'm sorry if I've hurt your feelings. I mean, the words 'past the gums' and 'erupt' are there so there's no reason why you had to say what you said, which is obviously already understood to those who thoroughly followed the thread. So, that's why I told you to read the thread.

Saying "don't hate me" wasn't necessary either. I don't hate people for so simple a thing, but I do get annoyed.

No reason why I had to say what I said?! Did even you read MY post at all? Obviously you don't even care to think of other people's perspectives. You only see it YOUR way. FYI, people don't see everything in the same way, and I'm sorry if I didn't see it your way. I didn't "assume" anything out of the BLUE, otherwise I'd be pretty darn stupid.

'when they never finished reading the thread'. SEE? Now YOU'RE making assumptions. Before I reply to ANY threads like these, I read through ALL of the pages till the very last post and THEN I reply. I swear.

I'm in enough pain already. Why I bother to even look back at this thread to deal with someone that's arguing about something I don't even know why he/she has to get so snappy and defensive about is beyond my understanding.

You get annoyed over things not even worth getting annoyed over.

Don't bother to reply to me, I won't even come back to this thread. Kthnx, I'm going to change my bloody gauze now.

How IMMATUREcan you be?
Don't get all defensive when you didn't read the thread and act all high and mighty thinking you're the first to say something... when you're not. It's beyond my understanding how someone can lie like this.

^Haha, I was wondering why this was bumped. I read this post a week before mine were pulled out. It's not bad, really.. I was completely unaware of what had happened when I woke up, I think it's funny. I felt no pain, but the numbed skin, bleeding, dizzyness and drooling right after is no fun. After a few days you can eat and then after about a week you can open your mouth and wash the back of your mouth with toothpaste.
I got mine taken out on the 3rd, but I won't be able to use listerine for a month. That blows mellow.gif. And it's scary to look at the ..uh, wounds in a mirror. It's like a little inverted mountain/hill.

Again, mellow.gif.

Uhm. And if you're like me, the drugs won't make your stomach feel any good. If you can't eat nothing but baby food and apple sauce and take your medication, it hurts. That was the worst part.
