well I was wondering because I sometimes use it, but I don't mean it, and maybe someone doesn't like it or something. I use to people who act bitchy, but not in a bitchy way, just to joke at their bitchyness. That didn't make any sense.

I searched if there was a poll like this, but I couldn't find it. If there already is, delete this.

Hmm, I use it, but most of the time I don't really mean it like that. It is a bad word to me, but I don't mind if people use it. Just not to me :)

Yeah, it kind of depends whether you're joking or not. Like if I hate someone I'll say that so and so is such a bitch because they act really rude.. or something. I don't know.

Um, I don't curse. But I kind of don't mind when swear words are used in a playful manner, unless it's every other sentence. I would probably hate you if you used it offensively.

Depends on the context. If someone says, "Oh, she's bitching about the car down the street." it's ok. But if someone calls someone else a bitch, that's offensive and not meant to be taken lightly.

No. I call my friends bitches. I joke around with that word, but sometimes I use it in a way where I really mean it, in which case I still think is acceptable - if someone is bitchy enough to be called that, they deserve it.

Yeah. I use it to describe back-stabbers who have no life and no idea of how to get one.

I think it's pretty offensive when people call me a bitch, even if they are my friend and they mean it jokingly or as a compliment, because of the way I use it. It's like a built-in reaction.

"Bitch!"

Well I would say it's a bad word, but sometimes I find myself saying it. If I get mad, I might let it slip.

But hey, I got my "biznacho" now, so I can say that whenever I want :P My friends still think it's weird when I say that instead of female-dog, so they only think it's somewhat normal when I say biznacho online (chatting, posting, etc.). And yea :P

But the b-word is a pretty offensive word. I usually only say it when I get road rage and I'm in traffic and those horrible horrible drivers... It's sad when I get road rage EVEN THOUGH I'm not driving. Hahah I'm such a backseat driver whistling.gif

Most of the time I say it, I don't really mean it. Like "Hey bitch." Mostly to my friends.

I cuss often, so saying bitch is a regular word in my vocabulary. I don't really take it offensively if it is coming from someone I know, and I know that they don't really mean it. My friends call me a bitch all the time, but I don't take offense to it because I know that I am.
If I don't know the person, and they jsut call me a bitch for no reason, then I get mad.

I couldn't vote, none of the answers apply to me. I would say it all depends. I sometimes call people a bitch or something else in a joking manner(even if they're not acctually bitchy). They know I"m joking and all is well that ends well. So in that way its fine. But if you're using it to put someone down it can be a bad word. But I use it in that way too so I'm not going to tell anyone not to use it for that purpose.

Hahah yeah, I don't like being called 'bitch' even if it's in a good way.. I don't feel comfortable using it and generally don't like people who include it in their everyday language.

I use that sooooo often. I try to stop but it's too hard, and alot of ppl think it's rude to say god. but GOD! I can't help it.

I use it a lot. I don't think it's that bad, you just have to mean it when you say it. If you don't mean it, it'll just be a joke abd everyone will be calling each other bitches and it'll be bad.

I don't think it's a bad word, if you're using it as like "Why's she bitching?" or something, but it bothers me when someone says, "What's up, BITCH!", even if they are joking, because what's the point of joking around about that? I don't think it's funny. mellow.gif

A bitch is a female dog or other member of the canidae family. In colloquial use, the word bitch is often employed in a metaphorical sense to either insult a woman, or to describe one who is malicious, spiteful, domineering, intrusive, and/or unpleasant (it may also refer to an effeminate male). The former specialised meaning is retained and in widespread use among dog aficionados and breeders, but derogatory usage has become so prevalent in the last century that the term has acquired a profane connotation and is often considered unacceptable by broadcasting regulations and Standards & Practices manuals.

By extension, the adjective "bitchy" — unpleasant, fretful or querulous — and the verb "to bitch" — to complain, especially habitually and without any helpful intentions — are also used, although they are widely considered less offensive than the noun. The verb "to bitch" also has a slang definition: to humiliate or subjugate another, as in "Ali totally bitched Foreman during the Rumble in the Jungle". Neither the adjective or the verb are normally used in formal language.

for short: i dnt think so....
