Yes I sure did, Along with a couple of other convicts. Today was my last day in government class so it was kind of like our "final." The 1st degree murderer (Jason) shot someone when he was 16 years and now he is 35 (Doesn't look it.. he was actually pretty cute) They all told us their stories and how they got in jail. It really gives you a new perspective on inmates. Jason (1st degree murderer) is the one who pretty much has himself together and has been getting his education and already got accepted to OU. He should be getting out by this December. They were all pretty nice. One of the gangsters told us all the inside details about what it's like in the penitentiary and let's just say.. DAMN ohmy.gif

This guy was kind of crazy too he was the only one who kept telling us about how he could get any girl he wanted. He told us he could tell what kind of person we are just by looking at us. He even pointed around the room saying that some of the girls in our class were cute. Pretty uncomfortable if you ask me, after that I was just like mellow.gif. They were pretty funny though & we brought them a whole bunch of food ( Donuts, Cupcakes, Drinks, etc.) which made them pretty happy.. which was cool to see. Anyone who is taking government should request it & tell their teacher to ask for some to come by because it's really gives you a different insight. You kind of get that impression where it's just like woah they ARE human huh.gif

Just thought I'd share. I guess.. it's not everyday you get to see them in person.

We had convicts come to talk to us in what.. middle school? Eh, they were boring. We got three who had robbed banks, convenient stores, etc., and then one guy who involuntarily killed a whole family while drunk driving. (Car wreck.) It wasn't interesting. All of us were so excited.. and then it was a huge letdown because they just weren't.. interesting. They were horribly boring. Their stories were stupid and they told us nothing interesting at all. Big waste of time. I don't know why they even bothered bringing them..

But at least you got interesting people. Lucky you. I wish we got those kind of people.. except for that guy telling girls they were cute. Wee bit uncomfortable. But hey, it'd still be interesting.

Wowza. I'm a Junior next year but Senior year I'll have APGov. Maybe I'll ask our teacher if we can do one of those visits! It'll be pretty interesting.

That would be awesome to meet a hot murderer.
But I don't think that they would allow them coming to a Christian school.
Then again..

Well we don't go over there, they bring a few to us. The convicts they bring are ones who are on their way out so they arn't going to do anything to escape the school.

hey, that's cool. how old are you? high school? unfortunately my HS doesnt have government class.

i would really want to take it though, if we get to meet criminals.
other than that reason, i want nothing to do with the government.

Wow.

Never happened to me.

Hm... but the 2nd paragraph you mentioned is kinda funny and uncomfortable if I was actually there. Funny because he knows. What does he think he is, a psycho? LOL.

anyways... that's cool that you met them, but weren't you scared? first degree murderer? >.<;
