If you ruled cb and you had the command to do ANYTHING, what would you do? I would ban all the members that I hate forever. In another words, expell. laugh.gif

Hmm. I think its fine the way it is now. I mean yeah there are some things tht bother me sometimes like the flood control but its understandable. Yeah, its fine the way it is.

I would ban all the annoying people & then I would get rid of flood control & I would also just .. make it the way I want it and stufffff. Like, colors.. skins.. all that jazz.

I'd take away flood control for everyone with over 1500 posts. It gets annoying after a while, and if you have that many posts, you should know not to flood the boards.

I'd also automatically warn people who replace their S's with Z's, use bad grammar, make stupid topics, or are generally annoying.

Searches use up a whole lot of resources. Flood control prevents sudden DDoS attacks I guess.

But it's unlikely there are so many people doing a search at once that it would kill the server (especially given the high traffic on the database already).

As for denial of service attacks, there are far easier ways to perform them than through searches; you have to be logged in to even perform a search, anyway, so a DoS'er would have to create an account, log in, and then perform any malicious actions. But if they take the time do that, there's plenty of other avenues they can use for causing damage.
