Photo blur/hover cursor blur code Options

I'm trying to find a code for two things..
one) a code for cursors that make words and pictures blur when they hover.
two) a code that makes the outside edges of all the pictures on your page gradient in to the background/ fade. if anyone can help me out, that would be great.

i'm not sure if that will work on myspace or not, i never tried it before. hope that helped you out.
