Yaoi, Good or Bad? Options

Do you guys think yaoi is wrong because I'm a big fan of it. Not so mush yuri. Anyway please let me know your views. For those of you who don't know what yaoi is, it's male/male relationships usually in anime.

I don't read yaoi or watch it or have any association with it for that matter, so I'm pretty much indifferent about the whole situation. I think it might be encouraging people to be homosexual or be more open-minded and become bisexual, but otherwise it shouldn't be considered bad. However, I don't even think it would encourage people to change their sexual orientation because that's just how people are born, whether they're attracted to certain gender or not. Okay, I'm getting off track now. Anyway, it's fine in my book as long as parents find it appropriate for the children to look at...

Hm, while i don't support homosexuality really, if that's how a person is there's no changing it i guess. For animes, I don't really mind tooo much, but i don't go out of my way to watch/read yaoi vids/mangas however it does bother me when people write fanfics for non-yaoi anime making them yaoi because it changes what the plotline may be about, but i do recognize that that person is simply coming up with their own story thing but i just can't make sense of it all @_@ ....

no yaoi isnt really pornographic. i read a couple of mangas but there has never been any nudity sex scenes.

dude, have you even seen FAKE? its like in the very last volume of it, sex all the way man. every single volume of it has two guys kissing, very hot stuff. you can't see um the more detailed stuff but you can pretty much conclude what they're doing

I'm not against homosexuality but I don't really support it either. And I guess yaoi is OKAY but only to a certain extent... like no sexual scenes or anything like that is fine with me. I've seen a couple of mangas that happen to be yaoi and so far, most had kissing and more extreme stuff. I really don't like it when they're serious and having sex, since thats gross. But it's also funny when its meant to be a joke like fancomics about SasuNaru. I think its a funny couple but I don't like make-out scens. Did that make sense? XP

First of all, I don't agree with it. Second of all, I stumbled across a Gundam Wing yaoi site in 6th grade and found some disturbing fan art (it would have been disturbing whether it was shonen ai or just hentai... I had just found out what sex was) and gross fanfictions (Quatre becoming pregnant though he was male and stuff, weird)...

But the weirdest part of all was that I didn't mind the shonen ai stuff in Hanakimi... There was a lot of that and I didn't really care...

But, whatever, that's just my opinion.

I have a good friend who's obsessed with yaoi stuff. She has websites dedicated to her favorite yaoi couples and such. She's usually infatuated with one or both of the guys in the couple but I don't understand. If he was gay, he'd never like her if he was real...

As long as you love manga/anime, I think that's cool.

Hey, does Earthians count as yaoi? Because I was watching it on International Channel back about 5 years ago, and it was a pretty good miniseries. There were only 4 episodes to it, but that anime was really deep.... The emotions and relationships in it were powerful. There was a sex scene, but it wasn't that risque--just a slight one where the guy was kissing the other guy.

Anyway, that's probably the closest thing I've ever watched that was yaoi...

I've always seen Loveless as "shounen-ai" since it wasn't necessarily strong enough to be "yaoi". Dunno.

Gravitation , from what I've seen, is like, more yaoi-ish than Loveless, although it's like borderline yaoi/shounen-ai, at times... from what I've seen, that is. :P It's cute though :D

Legal Drug is a yaoi? Gotta check that out. Didn't know! I thought CLAMP was too chicken to touch such a subject. No offense to them, but most of the mangas I've read by CLAMP are usually kiddish and are too cutesy and the relationships are usually straight, so I didn't know. :P

Oh yea, have you read Wish by CLAMP? Some say that the main character girl (fallen angel) can be seen as a guy, since gender isn't really classified. Which would be understandable since she (he?) is drawn with a flatter chest and the shoulders seem a little bit broader. There's two girls that DO appear in the manga, and they have slightly shorter shoulders and are much more "curvier" in the upper region, if you know what I mean. So I mean, technically Wish could be seen as a shounen-ai by some. :P

Has anyone read Totally Captivated? It's a manhwa and it's really good. :] Pretty interesting in terms of storyline. It has this whole.. josei/seinen feel to it, but in a yaoi way.
