Not only is the Nissan 240SX faster, it looks better (in my opinion).

Yeah, but honestly, who drives a stock 240SX?

My cousin had a '95 240 with a Nismo V6 that tore up most cars that he raced.

However, I prefer the Fairlady 300ZX (woo, baby those cars are hot).

I am personally a fan of the 240sx.
The 240sx is a rear wheel drive car and of course it isn't a mid engine vehicle. But performance wise the 240 is more balanced vehicle (F to R weight ratio) than the MR2. Even if the MR2 has more hp stock it all depends if you know how to handle that extra power. Since the MR2's weight is dominate in the rear that makes it more likely and easier for it to spin out and lose control than compared to the 240. Or in fact compared to any front engine vehicle. Because once again having the vehicles weight more on the rear plays a role in that. Drifting wise even though the MR2 is rear wheel drive and you can drift it, its hard to control and harder to break lose the rear end when you want it. Even when you do break the rear end lose, gaining traction again can be a little difficult. This goes with any mid-engine vehicle like the pontiac fiero. I think the 240 is a better vehicle because it has better handling and easier to control.
Besides working on a mid engine vehicle is tedious, tiny space. its like working on a front wheel drive vehicle just with less space. No fun.

I would get the 240, that thing is so cheap and so cheap to Fix up. You can take 2 grand after you buy the car for 1500-2k and have a SR in it. But the S13 are know for understeer. Their fronts are heavy, and trust me, we have two S13s lol
