I've done it before, not with people from this board though. It was awesome for me cause I've been talking with them on the phone for like a year prior to our meeting. We became good friends and such. But yea, it was cool, only happened once though

 Plenty of threads on meeting online people in real life, I'm just too lazy to search and link right now.However, I've done it before quite a few times. Fun stuff, for the most part. There was one guy, though, from here - he doesn't post anymore -he's an annoying piece of shit and he's a liar. But everyone knows about this anyway.

i've only met people through internet if i knew them through a friend. and sometimes i know them through 2 friends. and usually the friend inbetween doesnt really talk to neither of us. but i would actually wanna try it sometime :P with someone from cB |

i've met 3 people i know from online
the first person actually only lived three blocks away so yea the second person i met at a track meet because his school is the ohter school in our disrct and they were hosting it. the third i just met sunday night - i actually was crushing on him since before we truly met...he met all my friends. i wasn't awkward...it was like i was hanging out wih one of my regular friends. it turns out he likesme too and hes about 15 mins away <3 |

Yes, I have.. but it was from another forum. We first met at Last Call w/ Carson Daly (lmao). A band we both liked was playing there, so she said she'd save me a spot. From then on, we went to a bunch of concerts together (even one in Philly... we both live in NY, mind you) & she introduced me to another girl that was from the forum we were both in.
That other girl she introduced me to became one of my closest friends. We're actually going to see each other again this Saturday. |

I've met my friend's cousin that I only used to talk to online. Yeah I met her at a birthday party. I was ALMOST about to meet up with Ingrid [HolyMolyRavioli], and she was at Knott's the same day I was there. We didn't see each other though.

and he another time, he already knew who i was cos im "popular" around the schools and he liked me so he asked me out and i said i think we should talk and hang out first. so we did. it wasnt weird. i wouldnt meet anyone waay out of state because i think it would be awkward. |

I do meet people I know--but theyre not some wierdos from some random place. I'll only meet with those who know people I know, sorta like my friends friends friends.. so when we meet up we just have a big ol' get together

and for the girls i`ve met online, we`re now like really good friends.i`m not gonna say to bring friends or family with you & all that. when i met them, i went with my friends to the mall just like an hour earlier & then when that person came, i just left my friends to hang with him/her. so yeahh it all depends on how you know the person. it could be awkward if you make it awkward. & if the person`s a total fake or something.
