i dont know if this belongs here or the lounge, but i think this is the right spot for it..

ok so say ur out on vacation at a resort place for a week or something.. (hey that sounds like what im doing, what a coincidence!) what do you to meet new people. like friends and what not? cuz im more of the shy, non-outgoing type, mainly because i dont have much to say..

and plus i recently broke up with my gf, so im hoping this will help me get accustomed to looking for new people lol.

I'm really not that shy anymore because my friends introduced me to some really out-spoken people. ahha. I guess you can try to get their attention with little things...? Like compliment them while you stand in line. People like it when you compliment them, so it can usually lead to more conversation. =]

Well, if your young and going with your family ask them if you can go around checking out the sites and then just casually walk up to people and just get to know them a little and get their number. Later on just call them.

After the first time and if you don't get shot down, you feel pretty confident =). I used to be really shy too.

okay, think of it this way.

you're most likely never going to see these people again, it doesn't matter if you make a fool out of yourself, they can't hold it over your head forever.

You should go to a room or something and try to talk to some people. And you shouldn't be a creep to them or hit on them but you should just have a conversation and then maybe they would want to see you again.

wdh, all you care is about sex sex sex sex. well all guys are kinda like that but you cant expect sex to apply to evry single thing you do in life just say hi, introduce yourself and be yourself

Learn to engage people by having them tell you about themselves. Ask open ended questions that encourage people to tell you what they are interested in. That way you can learn new things and talk about mutual interests. Be relaxed when you do it. If you get nervous, excuse yourself and do something else. if you leave on a good note, it will be easy to start a new conversation.

if you are doing things while talking, it helps. Swimming, minature golf, horseshoes, whatever. If you are willing to try something new, have someone show you. That way you're not as likely to be nervous because you are focusing on the activity.

theres really no right answer for this situation ....people take things differently and you should realize that .......all i could say is just be yourself ....and dont let others tell you what to do ....when you start to realize yourself ...you start to open yourself up ....and your prone to having many frends ......

theres something inside of you that youve never had realized.... ..figure it out and use it as an advantage ....
