I thinks just irregular (a common occurrence) because if you were pregnant you wouldnt have a preriod at all, so relax

QUOTE
When will I know and how can I tell if I'm pregnant?

Wait until you miss a period. Once the egg and sperm hook-up, the fertilized egg still has to travel down to the uterus, which takes about a week. Often, the fertilized egg just keeps going and gets flushed out of your system with your menstrual cycle. It's not until the fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterus that you are officially pregnant. That's when your body starts making new hormones and responding. A pregnancy test won't be accurate until your period is due because it tests for pregnancy hormones. Now just because you miss a period doesn't mean you're definitely pregnant. Many things can cause a period to be late, especially stress (like worrying about if your pregnant). Some other symptoms of pregnancy--like nausea, tender breasts, high emotions--are also signs that your period is coming! Some women don't get any symptoms except a missed period. So the only way to really know if you are pregnant is to get a pregnancy test.

What do I do if I think I might be pregnant?

Wait to see if you get your period and then get a pregnancy test. While you're waiting, try not to stress-out about it, since there's really not much you can do until your period is due. If your period is late--or you think it might be late and you're not sure--then get a pregnancy test. You can start with a home kit from the drugstore, but we really recommend you go to a clinic because people do get the wrong results with home tests. There are many places where you can get a free pregnancy test: try Planned Parenthood for starters:  1-800-230-PLAN. However, watch out for bogus clinics that advertise using phrases like "crisis pregnancy" or "pregnant and scared?". They offer free pregnancy tests, but they are not real clinics.  They are run by anti-abortion groups and hope to scare you out of choosing abortion.

^ I agree.

You probably aren't, you were probably just stressed or worried which is more than likely the cause of that one missing month, but still. I'd get a home pregnancy test just to be sure. Actually, I'd do two or three, but that's probably because I'm a bit paranoid... better safe than sorry, right?

Good luck with everything flowers.gif

if you are old enough to have sex, you are old enough to go guy a pregnancy test. Its not like you need parental guidence to go buy one. Just go to walmart and grab one. its no biggie. people do it everyday. But I would suggest it because some women dont show physical signs of pregnency til the 6th or even 7th month, and for some women, their periods dont stop throught their entire pregnanacy. Its going to be a hell of a lot harder to explain a baby then it is to explain a pregnancy test. just rememeber that.

It's probably all in your head. It's not uncommon for girls to believe they have every symptom related to pregnancy when they fear they may be pregnant. I've done that 3 times when I swore I was pregnant lol.

Mzkandi is completely right. Your period is just irregular. Your not pregnant if you got your period so don't worry. If your still super worried which I don't think you should be, then buy a pregnancy test- you don't need a parent with you and you can buy one at the grocery store. Sometimes sex, stress, etc., can make your period irregular.

Condoms are fine but what's even better is birth control pills. You know when you'll be getting your period and you won't get pregnant (1% chance you can get pregnant lol.) The only thing is that it doesn't protect against stds.

You can get birth control pills at planned parenthood or talk to your parents. A way to bring it up is to tell your mother that birth control pills are a good way at keeping your face clear of pimples and that it's a good way of knowing when you'll be getting your period. If your mother is the not very strict, then tell her that your sexually active and that you would like the pill. She should be understanding.

I bet its just irregular. Go try buying a pregancy test at a local drugstore. If you're worried baout your parents, go buy one alone or tell a friend to buy one for you. I'm sure you're not pregant though

If you're worried about buying the test and your parents finding out, like I said in my post, Planned Parenthood gives free pregnancy testing. Look for one near you and check, because I'm not sure if it's everywhere.
Otherwise, just go buy one and do the test at his place so your parents don't find out.

I'm sure it's just an irregular period...when you're pregnant you stop having your period for the entire duration, not for one month and then not the next.

go buy a pregnancy test! it doesnt matter whether you get strange looks from people! just do it beucase no matter what other people think or do, it shouldnt affect your actions, becuase if you dopnt by a pregnancy test because you're scared of what other people think of you, it could damage your life.

go buy one... seriously.

besides, you may not even be pergnant

Guys, pregnancy tests are not cheap. And chances are, this girl is too young and probably hasn't told her parents yet.

It's possible that your period is just irregular, which happens a lot when you're still getting adjusted to it. But it's also possible to be menstrual throughout pregnancy. It's different for some women.

And also know that a lot of pregnancy symptons are the same as the symptons of stress.

How old are you, by the way? Well if you have questions, just ask me. I have a 4 year old. wink.gif

It's highly unlikely that you are pregnant. If your stressing then you might miss your period. I had a family crisis last year and I "missed" my period for three months. It was great. Minus the crisis.
