I think it's because you made the background. Maybe it'll be smoother if it was on a white background.

Does it look like that before you save it, too? I'm pretty sure it's just the edges of the text, they're probably not completely smooth. After you apply the stroke, you may hafta erase around the edges a little to get rid of the jagged edges.

It's the font.... Did you turn the Anti-alias on? Also, really curvy fonts aren't the best ones to be stroking. The stroke will pixelate on the curves.

some transparent images get rough around the edges like that. you have to save it correctly.

also, if you didnt anti-alias the text, thatll happen too.

yes, it looked like that before i saved it. anti-alias is off. how are you suppose to save it correctly? i saved it as a .gif. so you are suppose to anti-alias if you want to stroke? im confused...
thanks for the heads up everyone.

Is your pattern on TOP of the stroke? I've done that before and it looks like that.

Ok. Keep your font. Stroke it and all. make a LAYER UNDERNEATH and do your pattern. erase the pattern except the stuff you want inside the text. (Magic Wand will help with this)

Try that. I think that'll work.
