im not sure if this topic was already made because i couldnt search. the keyword was too short....




YEAH. so anyways, i only wear camis right now, and im not sure when everyone got their bras. am i late?? im pretty sure i need one..

and im kinda afraid to ask my mom. what would i say to her? hey mom, i need some bras... i cant go get htem myself, heck im in 8th grade!! what do i say? im kind of embarassed.

Why can't you ask your mom? Just say, "Hey mom, are you free this Saturday? I think it's time i got a bra." She won't laugh at that, will she?

But if you don't need the full support of a bra yet, a padded cami should be all you need.

I got my first bra when I was 13.

Actually, it was my Mom who suggested that I should start wearing bras cuz my boobs were beginning to show. So she went out one day, bought these half training half real bras and told me to start wearing them.

As for asking your Mom for one...maybe you should talk to her about it? Or you could just slip her a note...

i got my training bra last year (7th) and i got my first real bra this year (8th). that's about the normal age. maybe you should start with training bras first, if your breasts aren't that 'prominent' yet

I know a girl who's going into her junior year and doesn't wear bras because she's completely flat. She's one of those super-tiny asian girls.

Most girls start growing around 6th grade, I think (at least, the girls my age did...) but I didn't start wearing a bra until 8th grade either, because I didnt' start growing until then. If you don't need it, don't sweat. If you do, you should definently get one, because......well, it's a little disturbing to see young girls walking around unsupported.

I was in 4th grade when i got my first bra. the whole family came along when i got my first one. i was mortified. my dad, both sisters, and mom came. and you know how you don't really wanna carry the bra around the store? well. i had to. no one would hold it for me. i was so embarresed. so me and my mom went to go find my bra and it was one of those nice little triangle one. really uncomfy. so we got the bra and then met back up with my dad and sisters. my dad goes "so shannon i see you got your first over the shoulder boulder holder??" i about died. so any way. then we had to go check out, and in mervyn's they didnt have any female cashiers..so only guys. i was thinkin "could this get any worse" and course it could have gone south, but it turned out all for the good. then when i wore it to school this guy in my gym class poped my bra in the front. it hurt so bad.

now when my sister got her first bra, she was excited and she didnt hide anything. she walked with that bra proudly. swang her arms and sang walking down the walk way thingy.

any way. to your delima, you might wanna get a bra. you could stick with the cami. but all the layers get hot dont they?

i got my first training bra in 5th. if you don't show that much through your shirts, don't wrorry about it. I had a friend who had big boobs and she didn't wear a bra for a long time, and it was kinda disturbing talking to her sometimes so.....yeah. Get one if you need to. I wear sports bras right now cause their more comfortable than those other ones, and you can go jogging and stuff in them and no one would say anything!

i had to wear a trainging bra by like 3 grade. i finally got a cup bra when i was in like...6 grade [but on the low cos my mom was jealous my boobs were bigger than hers and she asbolutely refused to buy me a cup bra] im i think im 2 and a cup size bigger than my mom 0_o

but thas kool cause erryone grows at diff rates...but i think that it is time that u get a bra...even if u arent compelty "developled" yet....jus to get used to it

I got my first padded bra in summer before 8th grade.. I'm now gunna be in 9th. Umm.. You can go shopping with your friends and buy a bra.. Or you can just tell your mom you wanna go shopping at Walmart/Target and then pick out a couple bras.

I was either in 4th or 5th grade I don't remember, but now I'm in 10th. Ask your mom if she thinks you do. lol..memories of having to go shopping with my mom.. I was afraid to ask at first but now I'm use to shopping for that kind of stuff exspecially now that I'm older and can shop for that stuff by myself. You have to think which would be more embarassing to you.. not ever wearing one in public or going in public to buy one?? In my opinion just ask your mom and If you do need one, go ahead.

yes, you're a little late, but a cami works just as good as a bra unless you need a cupped one.
