as long as you've got a tampon in that you're positive will sufficiently do its job, i think you're safe.

with a pad i'm not so sure... if the pad doesn't soak up enough or cover all its supposed to, that could lead to disaster. AND someone could spot the wings if they happen to see under your skirt.

yeah of course it is. im on my period at the mo and im wearing a skirt. biggrin.gif but make sure you change the pad yada yada yada and i wouldnt recommend wearing a white skirt (try going for darker colours, because if you leak, it wont show) but if you do wear a white skirt, here's a tip: bring along a jacket so you can wrap it around your waist to hide the leak happy.gif

yea. i wear tampons so its ok. just make sure that if you feel wet some time during the day it means that you've leaked so bring a spare in your backpack or purse. but if you wear pads, thats ok too. i havent worn a skirt with a pad before so you might be able to see the lining and its probably extrememly uncomfortable. ARG, i hate pads. but bring a spare pad just in case too!

Yeah I think so. But my friend told me she was wearing a skirt and her tampon string totally showed. Pads are fine though.

as long as the skirt isn't too short and if your period isn't too heavy, then it should be fine

Yes it is.
Just be cautions with your pad or tampon. Don't wear them for long a time. However if you don't feel comfortable with a skirt during your period you can wear those spandex shorts underneath or just don't wear a skirt. It's all really up to you.

Of course it's okay. I wear skirts to school everyday coz it's part of my uniform and it's completely safe. If you're wearing a pad, just make sure it's the one with the wings. I've heard stories of wing-less pads falling off...

Yeah, same here. I had my period at TWO orchestra concerts where I had to wear a skirt, but I was equipped with a pad, so you'll be fine if you're well prepared.

Of course it is. I've worn dresses and skirts while I'm on my period and nothings happened. Just make sure that your pad/tampon is sufficient enough to soak it all up.

Of course you can... but i really would NOT recommend a white skirt. go for a darker color just in case... and if you're prepared, you'll be 100% fine. well, maybe not 100%.

hmmm, yeah, I guess so. of course, be prepared for one of those "messups" _unsure.gif well, if they actually happen. I don't usually wear skirts. I like jeans. I don't even have my period yet, but I am pretty sure it could be safe.

same.

I wear tampons so it doesn't really matter _unsure.gif except it's true sometimes it kinda *cough* leeks, but not often...I try to avoid that obviusly.

I agree with that as well. I actually often wear short shorts that are made of thin fabric under a skirt I'm wearing. Mostly because I'm paranoid tongue.gif but there are those tiems my freinds and I end up going to a playground or something and then you are REALLY glad you wore something under your skirt hehe.gif

of course its safe, but the thing is, someone might see your pad lining if you dont sit carefully... or something happens and your tampon falls out haha... so just be careful.
