Please don't close this because this will really help dogs out. A lot of people still chain up dogs outside...365 days a year, 7 days a week, and 24 hours a day for the rest of their lives. The owners sometimes forget to feed/get water for them which disables them from eating and drinking and the dogs are really suffering from this. Chain dogs have absolutely no freedom at all and they are simply just chained up, this is why we need to speak up! Print this flier out and hang them all around your town and other places. The link is provided below...also please, don't close this topic.

gah. i don't know if this is advertising or not. i will just let someone else do what they want with it. pinch.gif

but yeah, people do neglect their dogs but people neglect other pets, as well. blink.gif dogs aren't the only ones

EDIT;; whoa, my post seemed heartless. sad.gif yes, dogs being tied up for days on end is very sad. they are like starving. it is very sad. v.v;;;

Heh, I don't think it's much advertising for anything, Frankie.
It's not for a neutral cause, like advertising.
It's for a good cause.

Hm, I'll try to help out the most I can. I <3 animals with my all.

it's illegal.

if the police catch you doing that, they can force you to take your dog inside (or give him a doghouse or something) and fine you. if you refuse they can confinscate your dog.

edit:

it's nice to see a site that's not from PETA.

Poor doggies.
Their stupid owners could at least take em for a walk or something.
But if I wasn't fed, I'd want to be chained up because I'd tear my owner up.

But still. So sad. 'tear.'

I have a dog. I always keep her inside my home. Sometimes, I bring her to the park and stuff. Shame on the owners. stubborn.gif

That only helps a little, though... o.o They can still starve the dog or maybe abuse it inside.

They should just take those kind of dogs to the Humane Society and fine the owners...

Yeah it's really depressing and veru sad because it's like treating them a slavery, but no foods and no fun. i mean think about it. if you were that dog... chained up forever... no freedom.

i mean why do they need a dog when they dont even take care of it. they should free them by putting them on sale or put up at the pound?

or someone else can take care of the dog. i remember when this old guy died... his dog was all alone.. it was so sad seeing him chaned up seeing his own owner die. and the other family moved in...and never ever took care of the dog. so my family and i complained...we said that we will take care of it. but the family took the dog to the pound... it's really sad. after 14 days, they never fed the dog... GOSH it makes me mad.

anyways sorry for my grammar or speeling.... because i took my eye contact lens off. so i cant see that much. it's blurry. hehehe

I agree with you 100%. People that treat ANY animal like this is just plain sick. Not just dogs. They have no feelings for any animal... even the people who eat them. Ahem, that means you, kryogenix.. anyways, I am againist it. If people actually bought the animal, why are they treating it badly? Because they have no heart. It's a black hole. Their is even a commerical to a stop of animal cruelty on Animal Planet...see how desperate they are? It's because of those people with no heart or feelings for any animal. Well, I say, what if that was you out their in chains? I'd say that to the people that abuse any animal. Not just dogs. But also dogs, as well.

I have read all the post and I am overwhelmed that so many people are taking such high interest in this topic. The problem is, you probably read this but you never take any actions...I am asking you to print these fliers out and pass them around your town and other places to show the people that chaining up dogs is simply wrong. I am glad that so many of you are willing to do that and I know that this will help out a lot...think about it, fewer dogs will not be ignored and tortured. I am hoping that every single dog is not tortured anymore but that is a very long way to go...we can all start out by posting fliers up everywhere. I would like to thank Createblog for not closing this topic, this clearly shows that most of you care for these dogs.

Once I was watching Animal Police or whatever it's called on Animal Planet and they always have these kind of cases. It breaks my heart because I used to have a dog. However, everyone in my neighborhood loves his/her dog and I always see them giving their dog walks, taking the dogs inside when it rains, feeding them, so fliers aren't extremely necessarily in my neighborhood though I'll try to put a few up.

I've heard that dogs are bred on these horrible "dog farms" where the animals are treated really horribly...but I'm not sure of my sources...

Anyway, if the article I read on that was correct, ADOPT A DOG! Don't buy one from the stores because they come from dog farms! Don't promote dog farms!

:/

||edit||

Oh, and I'll certainly print some out and post them around my school. :)

Yes, only a heartless person would do that. I mean I see really old people who won't forget to get up at 5AM to walk their dog or even homesless people giving their food to their dog.

I'm telling you, I want a dog really bad, but I'm not allowed to get one.

PETA is a terrorist organization. they distribute intentionally graphic materials of animals being tourtured (they probably pay for the camera man and for the people to act intentionally brutal). They distribute propoganda flyers in elementary school playgrounds. Some of thier members bomb laboratories, and kill people. PETA does not use the truth in thier propoganda campaigns, and they believe goldfish are as intellegent as humans (maybe as intellegent as PETA top staff, since they came up with that).

well, outside of a dog, a man's best friend is a book. inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

anyways; you guys should watch animal precient on animal planet. you get to see what's being done about abuse.

like, a guy put his cat in the oven to punish it (only 100 degrees, left the door open, etc.).

burned it's whiskers. so the policemen confiscated it, and took it to an animal shelter after they rehabed it.

Approximately 1,370,000 abortions occur annually in the U.S. according to the Alan Guttmacher Institute. There are currently 300 Million starving kids in the world today. 100 Million homeless.

I'm going to do as much as I can to help fellow human beings before I lift a finger to help a dog.

Wow, I'm glad someone brought this to attention. It really is a cruel thing to chain up these animals, I mean they deserve as much respect as anyone else. I'll do my best to get those flyers out happy.gif

I noticed a few of you said things like "help out fellow man first" etc and wanted to comment on that.

First, if someone is cruel enough to chain harmless, defenseless creatures to face extreme weather conditions when he/she can take the animal inside his/her home, what does such action say about his/her character? That's (s)he is nice? That (s)he cares about others? I really doubt it. I've NEVER met a person who genuinely cares about the welfare of other humans yet be cruel to animals, or domestic pets to be more specific. And if any of you claim to be such a person, I would sincerely disbelieve the authenticity of your good heart.

Second, caring for our pets may not be our first priorty in life as so many other things are, however, it doesn't take much time/effort to simply bring them inside our homes and feeding them. Also, not being a first priorty doesn't mean owners can disregard their pets! If one thinks that one cannot handle a pet, then WHY ON EARTH take on such a responsibility in the first place?!?

Third, bringing pets into the house IS A WAY TO HELP OUT YOUR COMMUNTIY. If a dog gets loose from his chains (most likely because of desperation), he might wonder on the streets and gets lost. Hell, I'm sure most of us has seen road kills. A lot of times, running over or stopping for strays causes automobile accidents. This is no news. It happens.

Fourth, there is no doubt that we should give back to our community by helping other families or the less fortunate, but it doesn't hurt to take care of our pets in the process. How long does it take to unchain a dog and bring him into the house? Hours? I don't think so.

Exactly. This is what I was about to say...if you are going to help human beings first, can't you spend a little bit of your free time helping these animals also?

Haha. I had a dream about this last night.
I actually had fliers being put up to help save dogs.
Then I chewed some guy out saying that we needed to save dogs.

pretty sure we get the point that you want us to hang up flyers. you can stop saying that after every 2 posts. yeah, its heartless and im against it, but i think people got your point the first time you asked people to hang them up.

(not to be rude or anything)

Hey, I'm just responding because people are arguing about the fact that we shouldn't care about them.

well i think it is a little disturbing and cruel, as well but we can't get mad at someone for the way their culture is.

It is sad when people buy dogs just because how cute they look in the pet store but when they get home, they only give them a lot of care for only a week and after that they start slacking off and forget that they have a dog in the back that they have to feed, bathe and give walks to.
