Well I deleted some programs I didn't need and I accidently deleted my audio driver and sound card.. basically everything that let's me have sound.

Can anyone help me get my sound back ? Preferably through a site where I can download what I need for sound. Eh. I really don't know. How idiotic on my part.

P.S. - It would be much appreciated. Thank you.

You might need to let people know what kind of soundcard you have, for anyone to know how to help.

Maybe install and uninstall the sound.

Just reinstall the driver. It should be on the CD that came with your computer. Alternatively, find out what sound card you have, and visit the manufacturer's website; you might be able to download a driver from there.

one you get the driver, go to add/remove hardware in your control panel and take it from there.

If you do not know what sound card you use, try Everest - it will tell you the card and a site to download latest drivers. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

And well the add/remove hardware will only work if Windows has the driver in it, which if you did not install the driver to begin with its most likely there. Or if it is a Dell or Gateway they installed in and does not really mean its in the Windows driver list. Plus if you don't do Windows update often there is a chance you won't have it in the Drivers list.
