Reporting objectionable threads, Confirmation of report

I think the report system (to report objectionable threads) is great, but I noticed that a user does not get obvious confirmation when a report is sent; in fact, the page stays static. Perhaps redirecting to a confirmation page after a report is submitted would be appropriate.

Don't worry, we get the reports _dry.gif Oh wait, I'm not mod anymore. But yeah, don't worry, they get to the moderators... sometimes it's the same friggin report 20 times mellow.gif mhmm... I don't think there's a need for any confirmation.

Maybe you get multiple ones because the user doesn't realize the report has been sent. wink.gif

Yeah, a "thank you, your report has been sent." message would be nice. Sometimes, people freak out and click on the report button many times because they think their computer is messed up.

Test it here. I think I'm the only one that gets reports from this subforum.

Admins get reports depending on where the report is... Often I get reports when it pertains to the announcements section. In this case, Brianna clicked it (I apologize for mentioning your name, Brianna!) and since it's in the Feedback forum under the Announcements sectiom, I received it. wink.gif

Wait so you guys do get a notification that the report is sent.. Unless they get errors or something.. which happens occassionally. To those who said they didn't see it.. I'm confused.. perhaps your computer loaded too fast where it that page (which Yvonne screenshot-ed) only appeared for a split second? whistling.gif Dunno.

The confirmation pages on IPB are generally designed to stay on the screen for a few seconds before the redirect takes effect; I don't think it just popped up too fast. Perhaps there is a bug in the script, but I definitely do not see the confirmation page, and I definitely do not get redirected to the thread I was in.

Ahh you're right, I just sent one and.. it was weird. I thought I was lagging. I wonder if it does that in the design forums too..

Edit// ..Same thing happened.
