Okay, so I hope most of you know a fine line between what is considered fashion and what is considered a trend.

Trends tend to be shorter lived, included of a certain group of people. They survive as long as the people wearing/using them keep them alive.
For example, Abercrombie is a trendy store.

Fashion is something that is the current mode [overall] and is not usually specified with a certain group, but with a style critique. There are usually plenty of different clothing companies and designers that coincide in fashions.

Out of curiousity [because it does seem that most of cB goes to the trends], which do you lean towards to more....

fashions or trends?

Fashion. I have always been a fashion minded person. And if I do incorporate something into my fashion that happens to be a trend at the time its usually not on purpose.

definitely fashion. Most trends these days don't even impress me. I think it's ridiculous to follow with something that's "in" at the moment.

Hm, well, to an extent. But that certain trend seems to end in the fashion as soon as it reaches trend stage.

Sorry if that was confusing.

I'm more fashion, but I incorporate trends into my fashion. Therefore, they're no longer trends to me.

shifty.gif Maybe the people who has them are thinking the same thing...

Fashion, though yes, fashion turns into a trend sometimes. It's only natural. If something is pretty, everyone will like it.

I consider ponchos and chinese slippers a trend... ugly trends... yawn.gif

i follow some trends. yes, i did follow the abercrombie/hollister trend. But, i love there clothes so i wouldn't really call it following it. But, some trends like ponchos, ballerina flats, and stuff like that i don't follow. Even though everybody wears it.

... i think i lean toward trends, but not to the point that i don't have my own fashion sence :)

I guess a little bit of both..more fashion over trends though. The current trends here are blah, not my style.

I like fashion better; trends are not very unique.
I don't really know how to explain it. o_o It's just that most people follow trends more and don't think about other styles.

agreed. i'd say fashion but i don't know...my mom always points out whats "in fashion" and i really don't care...mind you, half of the stuff she talks about is really a trend.

i just wear buy and wear what i like when i see things...fashion or not, trend or not. *shrug*

Probably trends, because my style is always changing, but I don't really tend to follow the crowd. I have my own trends, with a touch of fashion.

I prefer fashion

With trends.......u'd need to be on the lookout for whats hot and whats not.......not to mention using a lot of money to buy the clothes for that trend.........and then putting it away after another new trend starts...........and it mean that its not ur own unique style and taste of clothing~

My motto in clothes is "Your OWN fashion and style IS the trend~"

sometimes people who tend to be trendy can act fake and "plastic" and i despise that type of people .....people who have a fashion sense likes what there wearing and feel good about themselves .

Fashion... but some trends find their way into that too.

It really bugs me when people go on and on about their "unique fashion" and how they "ignore the trends." Because the way I see it, to BE "fashionable," you need to incorporate some of the trends into your own personal style. Fashionably, if you want, but it's really a matter of WHAT the trend is. For example, people may say that they "don't follow trends," but how can you rule out ALL trends? Do you mean chinese slippers, livestrong bracelets, or do you mean "trendy" clothing stores (abercrombie, aeropostale)? Be specific before you give yourself all the credit.

Fashion. To me, fashion defines who you are as a person, whereas a trend in some cases means that you are a copycat. I live for my GQ, Mens Vogue, etc., but I am not going to follow every trend that they have in their. Having your own sense of fashion is key in my opinion.

Ehh.

I hate trends.

A pair of Levi's jeans and one of those three button t-shirts is what you're probably going to find me in.

Yeah one of these shirts.

I think everyone likes trends more than they're willing to addmit here.

Oh, and I thought I'd say:
Just because you buy something a week or month or whatever before you start seeing other people wear it, that doesn't mean they're copying you.

You're not a trend-setter just because you bought a pair of shoes that looked good.
I mean, if you think they look good, there's a pretty big chance that other people will too, right?

Bahhhhh.
