Do you receive money for "good grades" in school?

My parents would never give me money for getting good grades in school. All they say is "good job" and make no big deal out of it. Of course, good grades for my parents is all a's.

I don't even really get a "good job" or anything. All they do is criticise me. Even if I get straight A's, they'll say something like, "I'm glad you got these grades. Hopefully you'll get them next year as well."

I don't really want anything from them, I just wish they'd at least keep the criticism to themselves when I do something acceptable.

Not really. They would tell me to get a few good grades (meaning 90's+) and they'll buy me something "great".
They weren't true to their word though, they tried to make up excuses.

No...my parent are just happy for me, but when I tell my grandparents, the most they give me is $20. I have friends whose parents give them $20 for each A. Lucky people...

My grandma gives me like 5 bucks for a 98 average. that's it. My mom jut pretty much thinks that I get paid when she buys me things.

Omg, HIGHFIVE. That's how my parents are. I'm so happy I'm not the only one. I don't see what the big deal with getting all A's is though. You have no idea how mad my mom got when I got a C. I'm crumbling under pressure.

not usually. but because first term this year i didn't do very well even though i tried soo hard, they said that if i get a 3.7 gpa (which is a big jump from what i had) i'd get a car for my 17th birthday. that's really quite motivating :P

I get financial aid through Honors. Well, Honors requires me to maintain a 3.2 or higher GPA. Right now I have a 3.6. I do not get money from my parents though.

If I got paid for good grades, I would have so much money. I have three sisters that were all really high in their class, so I always feel pressured to do better than them. I have been making straight A's my whole life and haven't seen a dime =(
