replacing module titles, like name..gender...etc lol Options

hi, i've never posted on this site before, but i come here alot to get help and stuff, so excuse me if i sound like a moron and new to this kinda thing lol....

i want to change the titles in the modules like "name" and "gender". i've already tried the "replace text" code in the resource center, but it didn't seem to work. i know i'm doing something wrong, i just don't know what. could someone please tell me exactly how that code works? i'm not really sure how to use it...sorry, i'm retarded at this kinda thing.
