Hey --

I've got a little box for my archives on the left side of my Xanga. It doesn't get as many hits as I would like and I read somewhere that having an animated button or gif will help increase hits.

How do I put an animated gif behind the archive links, or make a button there so that it will be more eye catching to the reader?

Also, where is a good place to go to get free animated gifs?

My blog is here.

Thanks.

.... Put it behind it and you won't be able to read anything.
In any case, you just link the image. But what I think you're talking about is similar to a button exchange, it's a link box.

The code for images would be...

No, not a link box. I want some sort of gif behind the archive area so that it will be more eye catching. I will just make the text have a color that will stand out from the picture.

I don't want the button to be the link, not unless there was an indivual button for each link... which isn't a bad idea, actually.

So if I wasn't able to do my original idea of one gif behind all the links, then how would I do an individual button for each link and make it clear which story each button was linking to?
