i really think i need to shave my legs...but my mom wont let me... plus...my cousins and friends think i need too also... how old were u when u shaved um...?? im 12 is that an okay age to start shaving?

I guess 12 is an okay age. I can understand why your mom won't let you, though. Remember that after you shave, the hairs kinda grow thicker and darker the next time. So once you start you can't stop, otherwise there'd be this black stubble all over your legs if you don't shave one day..

I started shaving around 12. If your mom wont let you shave then maybe you should try Nair. Its a hair removing cream that requires no razor.

i'm 14 and i never shaved, my mom NEVER let me too. i kept telling her that i REALLY need to shave, but she NEVER listens to me, ugh. its pretty embarrassing during PE, 'cause i have to wear shorts[its reaaaaaally hot] and everyone in my class shaves[some of the guys dont' of course] except ME. ughhhhhhhhh

when i was 12 i told my mom i needed to shave and she didn't believe me. so i took my sister's razor and just started on my own, she didn't care. just shave when the hair is really noticeable i guess? idk...but once u start u can't stop. now i use this machine that pulls the hairs out...yea it hurts but they don't come out for weeks. which is great compared to the razor which the hairs come out the next day. *sighs*

lately i have been using this hair removal cream that you put it on your legs for 10 minutes and viola'! the hair is gone!

i think i was 12... around last year? yup. and maybe you can use this veet stuff. it's hair removal cream with a bladeless razor. i haven't tried it, but it looks like it works. or you can use skintimate (shaving foaming gel). it's really hard to cut yourself with that stuff, so maybe your mom will let you use that

i was about 13 when i started shaving. some people just don't need to shave even though they're in their late-teens and some people REALLY need a shave although they're 10 or something. so really, age doesnt matter... hairyness does.

1. Go against your mom, shave, and spend the rest of your life shaving daily
2. Nair
3. Listen to your mom, she's gone through the same thing you have, so she would better. Plus, the hair that grows back is really annoying because it's thicker and uglier than before.

I think I started when I was, like, 11. I don't see anything wrong with it - my mom didn't either, but, yeah, when you start, you shouldn't really stop doing it. I know this girl who shaved her legs before but then for some reason now, she stopped and always has this weird looking long stubble. So, if you do start, you pretty much have to keep it up, shaving every couple of days, depending on how fast the hair grows.

i had the same problem as you. i was also 12 and wanted to desperately shave cause i needed too, badly.. but it wasn't my mum who said no but my dad. which really sucked. my friends would tell me to shave but i couldnt. until one night, my friend slept over & she brought her razor plus an extra one since i asked her too. i asked my dad if i could shave while my friend was there & he didnt have an option but to say yes. >:) so i wont.
