100 yard dash, need tips PLEASE!!

hey u guys, well i'm really slow...but amazingly i am going to be in the 100 yard dash competition tomorrow at my school! i'm pretty fast, (or so says my parents and stuff...) [ i got 11 seconds when i practiced it right now...i dont know if thats good or not?!] but i could use some helpful tips....does anyone have any?? thankyou! every bit of information is extremely appreciated.. i'm so nervous! pinch.gif

11 seconds????????your kidding me....our best 8th grader boy can't get that and he's the best in the county......well keep it up!!!!

DANG, 11 seconds .. well .. leaning in helps when you're about to cross tha finish line .. since they stop tha timer when a part of your body crosses tha line .. [[ hmm .. then shouldn't you stick your hands out ? .. ]] ..


and you said you practiced it right now .. who timed it ? .. and was it exactly 100 yards ? ..

a little less than 100 yards...my dad did it with the stopwatch on my cellphone..lol

well if it's a little less than 100 yards .. then your time isn't accurate .. cause 11 secs is FAST .. every milllasecond matters ..

and since your dad isn't really trained to judge finishing times [[ unless he is ]], then your time could be off by a few millaseconds there, too ..

hah! i ran it today and i lost..the girl next to me kept brushing against me and tried to run me off of my row when i was running...i was THIS close to beating her...oh well! thx for the help..

skills, 11secs is fast, what grade are you in?...i'm just curious, u don't have to answer that.
i love the 100m dash..i'm not bad at it but i would die if i had to do the 1500m

I run the 100m in 10.78 and I'm a state qualifier.

11 seconds? Ok, well, you're the next Flo-Jo
