layout
i made this layout probably about a year ago and now i want to fix it up and decided to remake it. but i can't remember what tool i used to make that box. i know it's the line tool but now everytime i go to use to line tool it just makes an arrow. can someone please help me? also can anyone think of any ideas of what i should put in my layout? like a theme? i can't seem to come up with the right theme that i want. |

You can use the rectangle tool or the rectangle marquee tool.

You should be able to use the line tool...can you take a screenshot of what happens when you try to use the line tool?

that's what happens i don't know if you would understand but that's how the line tool comes out to look like. also now my brush tool won't work. i have the color as black and the background as white but when i click nothing comes out but there is a history of the brush on the right side. |

^ Whoaaa. That's really weird! It looks like a custom shape, but I can see you're choosing the line tool...maybe you need to restart Photoshop or reinstall or something?

Wow...that's weird. I think it used to happen to be before too. I don't remember how it went away. Maybe it's te settings you have on. Try to get the settings I have on here:

Try using the single marquee tool, I use it to make lines, and boxes and stuff.

It's probably the version you have. I have PS 7.0. I don't think that would matter though. The line tool is simple so it should appear in all version.
