ok i have this program called middleman and it alows people to talk when they are away and i set it like that but it wont work... it had the same setings as the last time i had it (i hav to reinstall it stupid viruses!) now i cant do it anymore... anyone know whats wrong?

i think it depends on what version of AIM you have...however if you just put the command "/away" it will show the away message sign [and you can still talk] but it will be blank so no message will appear

Middle_Man is a program that enables you to do things on AIM such as talk while you're away, but it isn't working for her. I'd make sure your AIM version is 5.2 or lower, and I'd also go to the Middle_Man support forums (Google them
 ).

bleh none of the features work... and i cant find another program out there that can let u talk while ur away... my idle control wont even work

AIMutation lets you talk while you're away
I used to use it, but I don't anymore, because the program slowed down my computer a lot Now I use Middle_Man, and I can't talk while I'm away, either  edit// for your idle control, go to AIM and go to preferences>>privacy>>Allow users to see...how long I've been idle for (check that) |

The whole talking while away thing was a BUG that AOL didn't bother to fix until they realized many third party programs (DeadAIM, Middle_man, etc) were abusing it... Why not just be invisible? Or get a new sn?!

lol. my version was downloaded at the site and the site only offers aim versions that work with it.. and i don't have the option of being invisible.. and there is no point in getting a new sn.. it makes no sifference whether i use this one or another one

Why don't you just get the new version of AIM. You can talk while you're away now on normal AIM.
