i am making use of the following password script, however mr friends has pointed out to me that if a person really wants to hack in, he/she can click on ok and b4 he/she gets redirected, he/she can click stop. also, he/she can go to view source and get the password from there, as it seems that the whole password script together with my password appears inside. Is there a way to stop this?
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com --> <script> var wrong="http://www.xanga.com"; var password="PASSWORD HERE"; var name = prompt("Enter the password please" ," "); if (name == password) {(confirm("Welcome to my xanga!"))} else {location.href=wrong} </script> <!-- end code provided by createblog.com --> |

Disable the right click with the redirecting code or the one with pop ups or the one that shakes the screen and pop up comes. Or recommended use the script that closes the window everytime a person right clicks. Next time use the code box to put a code in.

But they still can view your source and see it, even if you do disable right click by going to view>>source on the browser. So if I were you I would use a html encoder. Go here:
http://www.codehouse.com/webmaster_tools/html_encoder/ |

To prevent other idiots from getting your password in the source, I "protect" my password code. clikiii
Just simply copy the original code into the first box and click submit. Then copy and paste the "new" protected code into your html header. |

Which has already been stated. Please stop repeating information. This is your verbal warning.

But then, they can always use the decoder on the same site (codehouse) if they really wanted to. But really, if you didn't want people seeing your thoughts, you could either:
1. protect the entries, 2. make them private, or 3. not post them at all. |

lol,do you know,you can save/download all the website? without even accessing the website, using a Browser LoL,if you really want to protect your Source,try cryptho ,encrypt the source :-) (if you are a Premium User or you pay for Xanga/MySpace services you can just ask them to do`it for you :-)
PS: that no right-click / disable the View Source button are only for Noobies ;-) |
