If they are right to punish me then I usually learn something from the punishment.

they dont really do anything to me, like ive never been grounded or anything. they just yell at me and thats it.
oh once i went over my friends instead of home and all.. well long story but i got in a lot of trouble.. but in the end they didnt do anything.

My parents usually do verbal punishments, rather than physical punishment, or any kinds of punishment. Yes, I do learn something when I get punished.

My parents don't know how to punish anyone, so I've never been grounded or anything like that...but they do yell...and all I do is nod and say, "I'm sorry."

Then my friends mom, who happens to be friends with my mom...called up my mom. She was fricking pissed. Because it was..a very long walk..

Yeah so I was grounded for a few weeks. (TV, comp.) And hours of lecturing.

And the party sucked too, because i was caught before..I went in crying

Umm I don't know if this is common in asian families or just mine adn the ones around me. Anyways when I was little, whenever I got in trouble I'd have to kneel in front of a wall. It was kind of like a time out. Anyways that was in the olden days. I don't really get in trouble these days, only for arguing with my sister, but besides that they just yell at me I guess. And yes I have learnt my mistakes from all their yelling.

My father jumps to conclusions, and instead of asking me if i did something.. just punishes me...

I live on a farm, and I was sick one day so he did chores for me. Well, when he did them, I only had one bag of feed, except, I had another bag in the back just in case I ran out before i got to buy more. Well, he goes up a week later, and nothing is missing from the bag, he thinks i lied to him about feeding everyday, takes his belt to me, and takes my lisence away. I was so pissed!

Well, most of the time parents can easily forgive what their chindren had done. But Children hard to forgive what their parents had do.

My parents just only will ask "why you want to do it? Won't you feel guilty on doing such a mistake? Give me more than 1 reason, if not I will cut your money this month"

Mhmm. One time I wouldn't get off the computer [helping my friend out with her homework], so my mom got pissed and took away my keyboard. She yelled at me and told me that she would throw out my computer. I guess I learned that when she tells me to get off the comp, I should.. but I don't do it anyway. Hehee.

my parents are totally biased in their punishment.

for instance,
my sister was recently busted by them for drugs and alcohol (twice in one week). They took her car away for 2 weeks, but she was still allowed to have friends over on weekends. So that defeated the purpose and she really wasnt grounded at all

if that had been ME i'd be in counseling faster than you can say "it was my first time"

I don't listen to my mother, so she always punishes me by, at minimum, taking my internet away, hoping that I'll listen.

It never works, and if my mom decides to do some harsh punishment, I do whatever I can to get out of the punishment.

One time I went out with my BF and I lost my cell phone and my parents grounded me for 3 weeks because I didn't call. I mean come on I lost my cell phone and I was busy looking for it. If only my Bf had a celly. grr

the last time i remember getting in trouble from my mom is when a friend of mine picked me up at i think it was 9pm around there to go hang out somewhere 45 minutes away from where i live. when we got there we went over to a friend's house and it was already 10pm! usually if it's a concert or show im at that late its ok but a guy's house. my mom screamed and swore at me as soon as she found out. i told her i didnt have a ride til 2am cause the friend that drove me was in trouble too so he had to stay home and he said he'd sneak out around 1am to take me which made it worse. my mom was about to come and pick me up but she was completely unfamiliar to where i was and tried to understand the directions but couldnt. so i ended up coming home 2am and i just knew my mom was gona probably smack me and stuff but she was sooo tired and exhausted she just opened the dooor and fell back asleep.

that night was very terrible... a really good friend of mine was mad at me too cause i used her and brought her into the situation saying she was with me too. yeah i lied but hey i wont do it anymore right? i know my mistake and i guess i did learn to know the approximate time when i'll be coming home and to not use my friends.

speaking of dads, my dad is very protective of me so my mom is always fighting with me cause of that and she gets mad at me for stupid things or sometimes no reason but she threatens me a lot but i never listen so all i hear is "blah blah blah blah" but i never got punished i think...i have a bad memory. but shit if my dad ever gets mad at me i get really really scared for some reason

i had the music up loud so my mom came in and pulled me by my hair and dragged me to my room and beat the crap out of me with a coat hanger a slipper and her feet and fists. then she kicked me out of the house so i grabbed some money and started walking away and she started screaming for me to come back so i did and she beat me more for "challenging her"

i dont know what the hell i did wrong. it was just music. i could have turned it down but instead she grabbed my hair and proceeded to do what i just explained.

oh yeah she proceeded to all the beating and kicking out of the house cos i was yelling while she was hitting me. then she brought up old stuff from a long time ago and then she brings in grades and whatnot and thats it blows up into huge things.

but no, im not exagerating. my mom has a lot of pent up violenec towards my father she takes out on her children. mainly me cos my brothers a little kiss up and hasnt been hit since he was like 7. i get all the anger and animosty and frustration and sadness and tears and whatnot my dad gives her. my dad hates my mom. hes told her to his face. so just imagine what i get .

Sometimes when I was smaller they used to yell at me if I did something wrong, but now they yell less often and they just ground me from the internet or tell me to do something more productive.
