we have a project for music expo.. and we have to play a song from any song we like with an insturment. The insturment is a recorder. Has anyone ever heard of that? Well, that's not important. T_T
So, like, >.> I tried to look up some notes for Jack off Jill or Dashboard confessional.. blah. And the majority of the sites I went to gave me a virus! I was wondering if any of you folks know any sites that's virus-free and will give me notes for songs by dashboard confessional, jack off jill, yeah yeah yeahs, the postal service, or Mae. yeah, i think those are appropiate artists. u_u

just fake a song with an instrument. Like, name a classical piece, and "pretend" that its your favorite.

Such as Eric Whitacre's music piece 'Equus'.
Or maybe you could do something like Twinkle Twinkle little star. mellow.gif

Hm, yeah. I asked my teacher today and she says I can do ANY song that is known. Not something I made up. and also, it has to be 12+ measures. >.> And I searched recorder songs. I found "This land is your land" But it's not enough measures! >.<

I HATE RECORDERS!!! I used to have one and I would practice and practice it.. never made any progress.. Anyway. Maybe you could play it twice and say it's the whole song, haha. Or play each note four counts each.. make it seem like 12 measures.. That's what I do in band (clarinet </3)

Well, um, she also said no repeat. O.o MANNN, she's so strict, honestly. o.o But I'll try to fit in something for that four note thing. :D

I can play by ear becuase I'm just good at music like that. You can look up tabs for songs you want, like I found all these Catch 22 tabs that me and my friends were gonna play and sing for talent show. I learned a few ska songs by ear. I would suggest looking up tabs.

here are some easy ones...

try the Scarborough Fair one. Alouette is pretty well known, too. They're all more than 12 measures I think, but they're pretty short.

Try here.

It has a bundle of music sheets. Some should be easy and you should be able to transcribe the notes to your recorder.

Hope that helped. mellow.gif

If not, then I could give you the mp3 of a music piece(a certain melody), give you the notes, and from listening to the music, you would be able to play the melody.

Recorder was my first instrument. You can play mary had a little lamb over and over again and say that you find a site with a ton of verses, and there probably are sites like that.
