I'm kinda scared now because my nephew is 8 and he already knows more than enough. I don't think I can handle it if he comes in one day and asks me what a blow job is. I feel Social Services should really look into a case like this - often when children do things like this it's down to abusive parents or something else that's creepy and wrong. |

i knew was sex was when I was very young. when i was little, i'd called it 'kissing' because i didnt know what it was called. but by age 6, i found out it was called sex.  it's because my mom's friend's husband watches porn and i used to go to their house like everyday when I was a baby, so I remember what I saw on the TV.

But this is the parents fault. There is no way that either kid would know about such an act without either abuse at home or having access to porn and probably for a sufficient length of time to be able to absorb the actual act. These parents homes should be raided coz there could be a whole lot more to this shit...unfortunately its these kids that are going to suffer and will now be stigmatized by the other kids @ their school until they leave. These replies are generally far too simplistic.
As I posted earlier, this has definitely got more to do with either being subjected to foul abuse or the opportunity to view porn, possibly gay porn, in some great depth, probably just lying around unsupervised. 6yo kids will not just absorb the intricacies of the act of fellatio by just 'walking in' on their dad watching porn. It takes a great deal more than that for little kids to understand what's happening. One or the other or both sets of parents are pretty fukked up. Raid their houses and check their dvd/video collections and their hard-drives. Something is definitely going on.  Peace Out |

My reaction to the article went along the lines of, "Holy crap my uncle lives in that town and ew that's horrid." When reading through this topic's responses, I was kind of appalled at the hypocrisy amongst them. I love when they go, "Holy crap? Six year-olds?! I only learned about sex when I was in fourth grade," failing to mention the fact that in fourth grade, they were only about ten or so.
 Gah. I'll be honest - I didn't truly know what sex was until about two years ago, and I'm sixteen now. It's sad, but my parents kind of isolated me from it (because they're horrible parents), not teaching me to become aware of it at all. I mean, I think that in some aspect of this, we have to realize it's good to make kids aware so they're not in the dark all their lives, finding out what sex is from watching porn or from friends, but still - even fourth grade is too young in my opinion. Maybe middle school...

WHOA, that's... disturbing. But you're right, they probably just knew it "felt good" and didn't know it was wrong for their age. Gosh, I feel sorry for them when they grow up and realize what they did at 6. =(
