crush on my best guy friend., I'm gay, and I don't know what he is. Options

I posted a topic asking for advice on how to tell my friends I'm gay a while back. I've come out to all of them except one. My best friend who I think I'm in love with. It could just be an insane hormone haze or it could be a serious feeling that's not going away anytime soon. I'm starting to think it's serious. The reason I haven't come out to him is because I've always kind of mock-flirted with him as kind of a joke. It's just something that all my friends do. I'm worried that if I come out to him he'll start to think that the mock-flirting wasn't as much mock as he thought. Which wouldn't be wrong. I don't even know if he's gay. he's kind of effeminate and he tries to hide it I think, but he also is very christian,( Not so much he would hate me forever when I come out he would deal) but I think he could be using that to hide that he's gay or bi. I catch him staring at guys sometimes. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. I don't know. I really need advice on this.

i think you should spend the next few days observing him.. from a distance, of course.

or you can go to him and tell him. although that might scare him off (if he's not gay), he'll be scared off anyway if he finds out himself in the end.

just watch his actions each day, see whether he show signs of being gay. if he does then go confront him about it, tell him it's alright to tell people that he's gay

if he's really your best friend, i think you should tell him and see how he takes it. or maybe just ask him if he's ever been doubtful about his sexuality first.

Well maybe you should ask him because what if he's not and you end up flirting with him when he's straight. Well it'll be weird if you go up to him like "Hey, are you gay?" All of my friends fake-flirt with each other. I think it's 'cause we're weird. It's not really thought much of when we call each other "sexy" or randomly hold hands. I'm just afraid he'll see that I was kinda serious when I did it with him after he knows I'm gay.

Snoop around a bit. Try to bring up the topic of homosexuality while you're talking to him and see what he says.
You should probably tell him sometime though.
