Help!, problem with task manager |

Well, you see. I tried to press "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" and something popped up and said Task Manager has been disabled by your administator. That's all fine and dandy but I don't know how I did it. Does anyone know how I can undisable my task manager?

How can you undisable it.. erm.. you can right click on your toolbar somewhere, and then click task bar. Then try to find somewhere to undisable it, I guess.

 Anyways, that use to sort of happen to me accept the task manager would show for less than a second and then automatically close. It was a virus. |

I was sure I had it in the right ...catagory...grrr...I'll get it right someday. Sorry.
... I don't think I have a virus cause I've been scanning my computer for days and no virus. |

I think you need to sign in to an account that has "administrator" privleges. Once you do that try to open Task Manager, and look around the settings. If you don't see a toolbar or anything just double-click the Task Manager.

I tried right clicking on the toolbar and it won't let me click on Task Mangaer.
Control panal doesn't have anything. I tried to log in to administrator privledges but...I only have one account thing. .... help lol *edit* I looked in user accounts and the one I am logged into is the computer administrator so...now what? |

start > run > type in "gpedit.msc"
under "user configuration" - > "administrative template" -> "system" - > "ctrl alt del options", I think, something like that. there should be the task manager removal option. See if that's where the problem is. *Edit: You MIGHT have to do this thru the administrator account. Not an Administrator USER, but the Administrator account. Log in with username "administrator", you should've specified the password for it when you installed windows. |

I tried running "gpedit.msc" and it didn't work.
How do I get into the Administration Account? I log out of my account that I'm in and there is only one icon for me to click on. |

I believe you have to hit alt+ctrl+del once or twice to have the manual login window popup. I dont use welcome screen so I'm not very sure, give it a try.

To enable your disabled Task Manager, try using Task Manager Fix Tool. Download it and click Fix Now and it's all done.
