well seeing as how i am terrified of storms.....dont ask.....i would have to say basements. they would make me feel a lot safer.

^ I agree, I like attics better, alot more light and i love the windows ^_^ Basements always reminds me of horror films, where the killer hides, don't ask me why lol.

basements, because you can get it finished and make it a hang out room. in attics, you can only store things in them and a lot of them are old so you cant hang out up there.

too bad i have an attic. ermm.gif

i hate my attic. its really hot up there. the basement has a pc tv couch ... just a place to chill.

Well, I live in a trailer, so, I don't have either. But, I agree with Flip flop, and I have to pick basement because of the whole storm factor. They scare me. And for someone thats always hot, basements are cool, and I like them better.

i'm used to a basement so i'd say that because you can make that like a regular room. its just the bottom floor...well w/ 1 tiny window

the attic is hot a & stuffy

Meh i have a basement and i hate it because i have to sleep in it. It gets sooo cold during the winter. So i have to say i like attics better.

I prefer basements. Attics are scary. You never know what's up there. And you know if there was a tornado, you can always hide inside your basement. Attics get taken away. And then you die.

how weird! when i was waiting for the results i expected attics to have the most votes but i guess im wrong.

i dont have either basement or attic since i live in apartment but i still know what it's like cause in my past life i did live in houses.

i like attics wayy better cause sometimes it's a place to stay and spend some time with yourself doing individual activities... like writing, reading, drawing, etc. it's like a cozy place even though there are a lot of crapload of usless things up there. you just need that out of the way and make yourself a comfortable spot with blankets and music. but maybe other people are thinking of attics as in cobwebs, spiders, dirty, and cold. that can be true..

but basements are colder (sometimes warm) it's just how i think of it. plus a lot of the horror movies have make basements seeem really creepy. i know some people make their basements all cozy and comfortable with a tv and pool table or something.

so i guess it all depends..

both. i like my basement because there is a little room in it. The attic because there is a shower and in the bathrrom there is a little walk in room. My stepdad calls it the love pad. lol
