humble suggestion, about pictures forum |

since the pictures forum is so large and broad (ranging from personal photographs to celebrity sightings to vector drafts), i would like to suggest dividing the pictures forum into several subforums. if adopted, the subforums can be something on the lines of personal pictures (pictures of oneself with friends and whatnot), other pictures (some examples are scenery, celebrities, funny cartoons, and etc), and art display or art work (images of complete art or art in progress).
take a look at my post count, and you can tell i'm a pretty new member. sorry in advance if this suggestion has been addressed earlier. i also wasn't sure about where to put this topic, so move it if need be. thanks =) |

Yup, it has.
We already have enough subforums as it is.. and there's nothing wrong with having vector/design work in our pictures forum. If there's no problem, why need a solution?

because everything comes and goes so quickly since you guys have so many members. it may not necessarily be called a problem, but sorting it out doesn't hurt. besides, there are times when people want to critique simply art work or specifically look at people.

I think several subforums would make the picture section alot more organized, even though I have no problems navigating it myself. Where the suggestion thread when you need it...

I have no problem getting around the pix forum, but i understand what you mean. It's a good point. And I'm sure sometime in the future it will be better organized, but for now i think it's good the way it is :)

I think organizing them would be easier, but I think it's fine the way it is. I probably wouldn't adapt to the change as quickly as some people.

I totally agree with you, although it's alrigth now, I think ahving subfolders in the pictures forum would be awesome
 may I also suggest, a suggestions forum?  EDIT and I really want a contest forum!! where all the people can post there contests like art contests and picutre contest and writting contests and such, and people can go there and browse through to see if they want to join teh contest, that woudl be so cool!!! I guess there migth not be enough contests happening to actually filll up a forum but still, I think it would be raaaaaaad!!

its a good idea, but most pieces of art and photos do recieve a goodly number of responses...
however, maybe there could be some sort of hall of fae or gallery for exceptional work, to be decided by design staff.... lets move this to the suggestions, or feedback i thing it actually got called, as its there now, so why not use it? |

Meh. Splitting it up would be spreading it too thin. In my opinion, anyways. As Eve mentioned - I don't even see a problem in this.
 Besides, people are already getting lost with the interests section, not knowing many of them exist.

Splitting it up would of course, make it more organized but it would get a little confusing and maybe not as easy to get from one topic to another. It's a good suggestion, but I like it the way it is now.

- thanks for moving it to the feedback forum; this wasn't around when i was initially posting this topic.
- the reason some people don't know about the subforums in interests is because it doesn't appear on the main forum screen. if under interests, you had a listing of the subforums or even indented and list it under, then that might spread the awareness. - all may not see a problem in the pictures forum, but obviously, plenty of your members have. if so many people were insistent on suggesting the same idea time after time, maybe there's a reason. those in charge just might want to get out of their comfort zone and try listening. - hi purple eyes. =) |

hm.
- people complained last time we changed things around when we changed the icons to topics. if something that little makes people all huffy... - yea, making the subforums visible on the main page would be nice, i think. - we listened every time. but if you look around, just as many people think it's not needed as do. and the mods don't think it's needed and it's already been discussed; therefore, it's not being implemented, at least not yet. |

i would like to see a graphic artwork subforum OR forum for vectors, blends, photomanipulations and other graphic works that people would like to showcase. the picture forum should only contain personal pictures, photography, etc. Basically, photos that haven't been drastically manipulated because then that would fall under graphic artwork. So basically, split it up into two forums or subforums, and that way, it won't be spread out too thin. Too many subforums = not good.

I dont even like the idea of 2 , I love the picture forum how it is , I like seeing the different types of art I really HATE this idea , no offense =( |
