Hey. I know I haven't posted in a while, but I'm really depressed right now. You see, some of my friends are celebrating the one year anniversary of my friend's, Kathleen, death. I don't know what to do because I want to move on but im still really sad about her passing. Could you give me advice about how to deal of these tough times? sad.gif

Hey, everyone is different, It would take a month or a couple of weeks to get over it. All you need is time and patient. i think everything will be okay. You just need time to release the pressure.

Yeah, like aznxboredxperson said. Everyone handles death and their emotions differently. I wouldn't come right out and tell them anything about wanting to get over it, that may upset them. I would say, just do whatever they are doing in memory of her. Just kind of go with it.

Depends on the person that passed away...if they were really important to you....then it will take a longer time than normal to be over it....just give it more time and sooner or later....you'll be able to move on....but for now....just use the day as a remembrance of the loss....if you're not ready to celebrate it yet...with your friends.
May she rest in peace. sad.gif

omg im so sorry. when i saw the topic name, i thought you meant.... kathleen from cb, considering she has an enormous obsession with jhonen vasquez things. but anyways, I am really sorry for that. But it takes a different amount of time for each person to deal with it. I mean, we've read about steps in health that people go through. I believe your on the second step of grieving/depression. Don't worry, you'll be able to deal with it in time happy.gif.

I'm very sorry about your loss sad.gif
I think grieving is all right. Don't make her death run your life, because it will be as if you died yourself. It's healthy to grieve about people you cared about, don't just try to avoid it. sad.gif

Um, ..she's in a better place. I'm sure she'd be happier if you were at peace with her death.

Eep I thought that too. pinch.gif And as for the topic at hand, I'm truly sorry for your loss. sad.gif As aforementioned, I think it's best for you to move on. Keep her in your heart, but don't let that stop you from being happy - I'm sure she wouldn't want that.
