Is there any virus that you can have that allows the sender to change the background of your computer or anything else about your computer?

Because my background's been changed to the picture that this guy I know is related to...who has never had any access to my computer before...and I'm a little scared...

There was a virus thing on his site, he said, and I clicked on it because I thought it was a joke...

I'm doing a virus check right now....

Oh...thanks. :)

Uh...how exactly does one get hacked? Is it through a virus or something?

Oh, btw, the virusscan showed up 4 viruses, all of which I deleted, but I'm not sure whether I'm safe or not... _unsure.gif

I think your computer is fine... I don't know if a virus changed your wallpaper or not, but now that the viruses are gone, I wouldn't worry.

Oh my god... Are you serious?

You either have a trojan (Allows the person who gave you virus access to your computer), or the link you clicked set your wallpaper to whatever it is.

Oh...sorry...can't help you with that...mine was a different sort of thing; the virus just changed the background once, and I just switched it back and did a virusscan...

Reason number one Windows sucks: No Security At All.
let me guess kryzcoak47luv666 Your regedit dont work either? Try it by clicking STart, Run, regedit and enter. if it works your fine.
oh and also go to any image on the internet, and right click on it and click Set As Wallpaper (firefox) or i forget the words of it in IE see if it changes,
