Don't get rid of her..
She was there when you needed her (i think), now you have to be there for her...
If you hate her so much why did you even get her?If you get rid of her, it sounds like you are throwing away something thats not living..To me it sounds cruel...But then thats my opinion..
Don't get rid of her...

blink.gif Well, you know having a dog is a great responsibility. YOU have to be willing to feed her everyday, give her baths, etc.... I know you love her, but if you're just not ready for the responsibility or that kind of pet since you say she gets in the way...giving her up may not be such a bad idea sad.gif

My brother's friend dog is a slob. but i mean, you don't see them giving it away.

if your dog was there for you, i think you should be there for it. i mean, if you give it away, i think you would miss it within a week. idk, it just seems mean. but if you really think you should give it away, then put an ad in the classifies section and meet the new owners first.

Just so you know, you knew the responisibilities of getting a pet. Its basically your fault, not the dog's fault.

And no, don't give your to the pound or anything like that.

But yes, to give your dog to a friend.

my first reaction to this topic title was "why would you do that??"

but anyway, she's your dog and you love her don't get rid of her because she's a problem sometimes...we were all big pains for our parents when we were toddlers but our parents/guardians didn't give us away...

she was there for you, you should be there for her...after awhile you'll grow fond of her again happy.gif

Don't get rid of her.

But answer this:
Why did you get a dog in the first place if you don't want to commit yourself to taking care of your dog? What you said just shows you're irresponsible.

And if you do get rid of her, please, please, don't abandon her. It'll just show how cruel you are.

of course. Dont give her up. because if you love her, and you do give her up, every day afterwards you will regret it. Believe me I know. and if you gave her up to a shelter, she may not get a home and if she dosent... need I say more?

If she was there when you needed her, be a friend back and don't lose her.

I say keep her if you REALLY love her. There is, to me, a difference in "yah i love that dog, its cute" and "I REALLY love my dog, how dare you say I give her up!!" *slap*...meh but thats just what i think

Wow you love your dog so much. I know what you mean because when I had my yellow lab dog... me, my sister, and my brother was careless about our dog, brandy. we barely took care of them. I was sick of feeding it, walking the dog outside, shower the dog in the bathtub. I was very sick of it. But you know what happened? Our next door neighbor was sick of hearing my dog's bark when she was outside. Because she had no one to play with. Also my dog... she's very nice, sweet. But she gets hyper when she sees new guest. Or if we didn't see her for a long time like we were on a trip and she just comes at us and just jump on us. I don't like that, but still I loved her a lot. So after the barking accident, the neighbors sued us. That we had to send Brandy to the Pound. And you know those shots where the dog dies after it? Yea they did that. It was terrifying. Good thing I wasn't there to see it. I was at Seattle with my mom. Brandy died at Utah where I used to live with my dad. My parents are divorced so yeah. Anyways I still miss her a lot. She was a great dog! I wish she was still alive :(

Anyways back to your main point. So don't get rid of her. If you can't take any more responsibilities with her, then let someone baby-sit your dog until you miss it to play with them or get a maid to take care of that mess. We didn't get a maid cause we thought it will be expensive. Because we thought it would be weird if the maid keep on coming to our house everyday. So if only we let the maid stay at our house, but that would be uncomfortable for us.

So yeah don't lose her, she would be sad if you leave her. I wonder how my Brandy felt...

Having a dog means you need to have responsiblity....it doesn't know that it's being like that...Cut the dog some slack...it's really mean of you to say these things...I mean...for one...it's a dog...make it stay outside....dogs get hyper because they're excited...probably....I don't think you should get rid of her... mellow.gif

If you choose not to keep your dog, go to your local Petsmart and/or Petco (if possible both), list a classified ad in their bulletin section and hope that there will be another kind owner willing to take her in. _smile.gif And take everyone elses' advice and don't bring it to the pound... pinch.gif

IMO if you can't sustain having a dog anymore due to heavy stuff school or something, then I guess you should do that but otherwise, I believe you should keep her. happy.gif

whats wrong with you?

just because youre tired of the dog and it annoys you is not a justification to get rid of it?

so if you annoy your parents theyll just put you up for adoption?

Did you read my whole post? I said if I got rid of her I was N0T putting her in a pound. And I did think about it before that, FOUR YEARS AGO.
