Do the Communists observe fazhi (rule of law) or does imperial-dynastic renhzi (rule by individuals) still hold sway? What do you guys think??? ![]() |

ROL (Rule of Law) supports the emergence of democracy. In other words, it is a neccessity in a free society, where the law is meant to be equal for everyone and even the government must be sujected to the law. However, there could be different point of views on ROL. For example, a liberal perspective on what ROL could be will differ from a socialist's views. ROI (Rule of Indivs) permits the ruler(s) to be above the law and there are no constraints as to what they can, and cannot do. However, ROI cannot be completely eliminated. Why? Because there must be some kind of balance, or a 'check'. That is as simple as I can explain how I understand the two "rules", they are more than that... but I don't get them that much.
With that said, lets make one point clear: ROL is essential for any contemporary society. Even countries under communistic regimes must understand this fact because they understand that society is changing. There is no such thing as a pure communistic country, not one that I know of anyway (eh). So, as of now, there may still be those who observe Rule of Individuals, but that only means they are holding onto a failing system without Rule of Law to balance their society. If I didn't answer your question, I'm sorry, but I didn't really understand what your question is... |
