random question, oops... my wallet... Options

What would you do IF you dropped your wallet (which has LOTS of money and a lot of your important cards) in the middle of a busy highway?
Not the sidewalk/pavement. Right in the middle of the highway where there are cars continuously moving at a fast speed. Would you risk your life to get your wallet back? Or would you think of other ideas? Or just simply leave it?


I know this is a pretty weird question, but please don't say "this won't happen to me anyway". It's a "IF..." question.

Yeah that's true, how would a person have dropped his or her wallet in the middle of the highway then risking his or her life to get it back; unless the person threw it or dropped it from their car.

Anyway, I'd find some construction cones and just throw them around the vicinity of my wallet. Or I could just do as iliang86 will do, just wait until night or when rush hour is over to get it.

You can always cancel credit cards if they are broken, and stuff like that. I would wait until the traffic calmed down, then go. Or, if a cop comes by, ask for assistance.

i'd wait for traffic to slow down, then go ahead, and just pick it up. like around rush hour. them cars aren't moving anywhere, so might as well.

yea i would wait till there arent as many cars. n it wont get stolen cuz pple are in cars the whole time n dont see the wallet. trust me i've dropped my wallet on the street bfore.

i dont usually like to cross busy freeways, but if i randomly did and dropped my wallet i'd just stand there and wait for the traffic to slow down ~_~ id probably be there all night, im really a wuss about crossing streets because i almost got hit by a car in middleschool when i walked home when the crossguard wasnt there !_!

I'd go steal some Stop Signs and a bright orange vest and stand on the side of the road and hold the stop sign out and make people stop *nod*

hm...an "if"...I'd probably stand there until it got really late and waited till cars wern't comming. Or wait until it was really trafficy and wouldn't move. Then I'd yell in people windows to let me get my wallet and hope they won't run me over. Then I'd throw it to the side of the rode and run back over there =]...if I made it =/

lol i lost my wallet at the mall once in like 7th grade...i left it at a store... (which btw had like $80 in it ) ..and i had a clue that i might hav left it there..so i went bak and they said that a lady took it down to the customer service...lol ...and it was actually there... what a nice lady

omg i would die, cause i carry minimum $300 in my wallet for "emergency's". and its a louis vuitton wallet, dont know how i would live without it. i think ur wallet says alot about u.

I would probably just wait until the traffic cleared up and then sprinted to the middle of the street to retrieve it. I wouldn't just leave it in the middle of the street with all my money and drivers license and such in it. I would just wait til the cars cleared up ;)

I would cry, cause it aint a cheap wallet , and have madd money in my wallet.. Like 600 right now cause of my confirmation.. I also have a buncha gift cards nad my club cali card and my kids disney visa cardd.. Omg. My life is in my wallet!

last year, i was going to retreat when like 3 bags fell from our truck to the middle of the freeway..

i ran right into the middle of the freeway in speeding traffic to get the bag. i almost got hit by a 18 wheeler truck, it was like 1 foot away from me
