Ok, finally, i quit smoking, its a LONG story but i decided that life is SO darn special. Basically, i haven't smoked for like a week, which is wierd, totally wierd and abnormal. I used to be a cigarette freak, sometimes i smoke 1 packet a day. I've been smoking for 3 yrs now. Blah blah, i quit. BUT i'm having serious headaches, my stomach hurts like hell, i'm always tired, sometimes i even feel like vomitting. I talked to my sister and she thinks i have cancer blink.gif , my friends think i'm dying blink.gif . And i can't stop thinking about cigarettes, lol. My dad tempts me intentionally _dry.gif , he gives me money to buy cigarettes, lol ( i take the money and keep it ), he thinks i'm still smoking laugh.gif .

I've tried almost everything to make me stop thinking about cigarettes, i've watched porn (but eww, it gets tiring), i've been on cB a lot, but i just can't stop thinking about cigarettes, lol. I seriously want to quit but hehe i kinda need help.

Does anyone know anything that can occupy me (ive even tried thinking about boys, lol but err doesn't work either).

My mom suggested jogging but i think i'm slim enough, jogging isn't really my thing. So yeah, i need help, lol.

First off, Congratulations! Hmm...ever think about going to a phycologist (sp?) or something, cuz maybe they could give you better tips. But anywho...maybe take up a sport or join a club, maybe that'd take your mind off the cigs.

first off, you should go see a doctor about it.
i think its normal you are behaving this way, because you havent smoked for a while and your body is reacting this way because your body wants the chemicals in the ciagrette.

Oooh Good job!
Well. My dad is quitting smoking too. He bought a patch and it seems to work.
Chew a lot of gum and try to find something interesting to do. Like afterschool, get a job or join a club or something. It should get your mind off them.
Best wishes. flowers.gif

Join groups that help you quit smoking and stuff. Maybe you should find a friend that's trying to quit smoking too, so that way you can talk to her/him about it and relate to her/him. What's your hobby? If you have one, then maybe you could do that every single time you think about smoking. Er, hope that helps.

Congratulations on giving up happy.gif

Them ill feelings are just withdrawal symptoms since your body has to get used to not getting its normal nicotine and other chemicals that it would get from smoking.

Go to your doctor and see they can give ya any tips on helping ya.

Good job on quitting. Something to be proud of. BUt these things you are going thru, this is what makes people start smoking again. You arent dying, but you are going thru some hardcore withdrawal symptoms. I just try eating lots of vitamins (fruits veggies) keep yourself busy as much as possible. Avoid sitting still. Avoid going to places with smoking sections. Try going out to dnner or something, somewhere you cant smell cigarettes and somewhere you cant get your hands on some. Just stay strong and dont give up.

maybe you can lift weights or something. get a pass to lifetime if you can. the weather is getting good oustide, go chill on the niehgboorhood playgroud or something.
watch more porn if you have to. haha just kidding, u might wanna stop that.
what i really like doing to keep myself from uh.. lets just say a bad habit of mine, is to write out my feelings. make a story about a character and base them on you, or write poetry. it doesn`t have to rhyme, just make it flow - straight from the heart. if you ever wannna chat about writing, pm me (:

Congratulations! I'm glad you decided to quit. It's really hard to, I heard. Other people would just go and find another addiction. Your symptons could be a sign of something serious. Go see a doctor! Also, your father shouldn't be influencing you to smoke. ermm.gif

Try to eat healthier... Get your body into shape. Don't slim down.. I mean exercise regularly. Isn't it hard to breath, since you've been smoking for a long time? Seriously, go see a doctor, if anything. Find something else like, um.. What's your favorite hobby? Go out, have fun, etc.

Yeah, sounds like you're having withdrawl. It's probably just in your mind since you've been so used to them for such a long time.

But CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be strong, dollface. And please please please be careful. It's a terrible habit, I know a few people who have died from cigarettes. I don't want that to happen to you. You're better than that, okay? hug.gif

You're obviously one strong kid to have given up that kind of habit. I'm proud.

I totally can relate
Yeah you do get real sick, because after a while, its not for relaxation any more, it becomes like a medicine, but most of it is psychosimatic (like if you think your in pain, you will be in pain) well yeah I smoke as well as you can tell, and yeah I totally congratulate you on breaking the habit, it's harder than it looks, but its so much easier after the 1st 3 days, yeah your just having withdrawl and it happens for a, long time, I quit for a month and yeah I still wanted it and got kinda sick from quiting, mostly you have to pre-occupy yourself, stay away from anything related to ciggarettes, and try to avoid any magazines with advertisements of them, especially the brand you smoke. I smoked as much as 2 packs a day at 16, so since then I cut down a lot. Just so you know control your eating because when you quit, or as you may know, run out at times you'll wanna eat everything to kinda help you, I dunno it's a bad habit, I give you mad props, good job,

Ps: think of the good things that come from quitting, you breath easier, you get your taste buds back, and you reduce the risk of many cancers.

i have an idea well it helps to cutt off slowly like force yourself and have a limit each month and when the month is up make your limit smaller each month and get all the way till your not even smoking any more you body cant function with out it cause you abused the drug and your body think it needs it so you need to give your body it but take it less and less each mmonth you know what i mean?? well good luck with that! and dont worry bout your lungs they repair them self after you quit for a while your lungs would be good as new if you just quit so i wish for all the best for you

keep going, it will pay off in the long run

personally i feel that smoking is quite vulgar:

-it doesnt taste good
-its made up of a bunch of nasty stuff
-it smells bad on people
-it also makes them look cheap
-it is a waste of money
-and the all the health problems as well

so yeah i dont think i will ever smoke and i am happy that you are quitting biggrin.gif

just think of all the stuff you can buy with the money you save from not smoking. or perhaps, tape a really disgusting picture of a heavy smoker's lungs on your wall. that might be distracting, though.
