I saw the trailor for this new show on NBC called "Revelations," and thought it was really interesting. Here is what the show is about:

From executive producer Gavin Polone (“Panic Room”) and writer/creator David Seltzer (”The Omen”), comes this six-hour event series starring Bill Pullman (”Independence Day”) as Harvard professor Dr. Richard Massey, an astrophysicist whose certainty that all worldly events can be explained by Science, is challenged by a nun, Sister Josepha Montafiore (Natascha McElhone, “Solaris”), who leads him on a journey through the unfamiliar world of faith.

Drawn together by personal tragedy, these unlikely partners -- one who worships God and one who worships Science -- are propelled into a deepening mystery, finding evidence that the world, as predicted by The Book of Revelation, has reached The End of Days.

The time of miracles is once again at hand -- both Heaven sent, and sent from Hell. Satanist Isaiah Haden (Michael Massee, ”24”) has answered the calling of his “Lord” to make certain the Armies of Darkness will triumph in the apocalyptic battle to come.

Notable guest stars include John Rhys-Davies (”The Lord of The Rings”), Tobin Bell (”Saw”), Fred Durst (lead singer of the rock band “Limp Bizkit”) and Mark Rendall (”The Interrogation of Michael Crowe”).

The pilot was directed by David Semel (NBC’s “American Dreams”), the series directed by Academy Award-winning producer Lili Fini Zanuck (”Driving Miss Daisy,” “Rush”) and Leslie Linka Glatter (”Law & Order: SVU”).

........................................................................

I really think this is a great idea for a show because it brings together two perspectives on life, one science based and one religious based, and shows how they intertwine and join forces to uncover the mysteries of the world and how to stop the approaching apocalypse. So have you seen the trailor? What are your views on the show? Do you think it will cause controversy? Because i'm pretty sure it will.

i might see it just so i can know whats coming.. and to pray that i`d be not left behind in the rapture..

Revelation is scary. Makes you think when is the world going to actually end. On top of that there is supposed to be an ANTI-Christ with powers to heal just like Jesus.

I can't wait to see this. The whole idea of one person believing in science and the other in god is basically like me and my friend, who have comflicting views. She believes in god and I believe in science, and we can never quite see eye to eye on this subject. The special effects look tremendous even if the plot doesn't turn out as good as I think it will.

I myself am agnostic so I don't believe to much in the revelations thing. I think I might watch this show though if shows itself not to be lame like most tv. I believe alot of science stuff. so yeah we shall see

A satanist murdered her, cut her heart out, and used it in a ritual. Very disturbing.

Yeah i watched it last night and i thought it was really good. ^ oh and yeah they don't show any of that so you don't have to worry about any disgusting thing happening. The guy only remembers moments he had with his daughter. But omg i thought it was really good, i can't wait for next wednesday's episode.

It sounds interesting.
Yes, the fact that it is something that "may" happen kind bothers me.
I'm afraid this show wont' make it far because of the religion. (but, I guess it can only go one season, espically since the world ends at the end. LOL)

From what I understand it is only a 6 part series, so it shouldn't go much longer anyway.
