Does your family clean up the house so that everything is in perfect order and everything's shiny and neat?


Because every time I go to a friend's house, their tables are like...shiny and polished, their floors are so clean I can see my face in them, every table is neat, their rooms are spotless...everything's like the opposite of my house, where the tables are covered with newspapers and documents, and everything is like...out of order. Messy. Very messy. We're pretty clean, though. :D



Also, whenever friends are coming over, my guardians get very excited with making sure everything is in order and the furniture is spotless and the bookshelves are perfectly neat and everything...so when guests come over, they see our home about 5 times neater than it really is.


So I was wondering if other families did that too...or maybe mine is just really messy...or maybe I'm being paranoid...

Depends on the guest, haha. My mom goes crazy when my grandmother comes, or when her old friends back in the day come over for the first time. She wants to make a good impression.

Yes, any adults are coming to my house w/ further notice. My mom bitch at everyone in the family do clean their junk shit before we have our guest. If not, my mom would pick up the junkshit in a mean disturbing ways.

Yes I do. Everytime somebody comes over my parents goes on a cleaning rampage. They clean EVERYTHING. Dusting everything from the computers to the little statues. Everything is all sparkly white wen its done. O yea..Nd They put everything away. So it looks like nobody even lives in the house. =\ I have to tell them to leave some food out or something.

My parents make us clean up before company comes over, most of the time. My boyfriend and best friend come over often enough that they don't make me clean up before them coming over anymore.

But then, my parents even make us clean up before the maid comes. *rolleyes*

Whether or not we have guests coming over, the house is always clean. And if it isn't, I try my best to help clean around the house. I can't stand a messy house.

if its for my parents family friends/coworkers or something, theyll practically spend the entire day cleaning. we usually leave it as is if my friends are coming over to hang out or something.

Well if we have guests like family or people who work with my mum and dad, we have to clean alot but if my mates come round its usually tidy anyway, so i dont need to clean before they come.

yes...my mom does especially. even when its like one of my friends, who could care less how dirty or clean my house is, she still vacuums and dusts and makes the house smell good. i help her though, so its all good.

We don't clean it all the way, just what we can do in 20 minutes, like picking up trash on the floor, arranging the pillows, hanging up the jackets that are on the couch, that sort of thing.

My computer desk area is a sort of mini- ground zero, so i don't bother.
