Weird Ritual, -- Options

Anyways, i was watching friends, and Monica and her Boyfriend was talking about something. (I'm not sure if you guys saw this episode or not). Anywho, Monica is some obsessed weirdo who is really perfect. She always have these weird rituals. So she asked her boyfriend "What's your weird ritual" or whatever, but he didn't have any. (It's the boyfriend that was kind of old). But then, he said that he had to sleep on a certain side of the bed, the side where the bay was.

So after watching this, i wanted to know, what is your weird ritual thing?

Mine:
When i go to sleep, even though my bed isn't made, I have to make my bed, straighten everything out, then sleep.

When I eat at home, I have to eat sitting in the middle of the couch, watching cartoons or a comedy. I cannot watch during a drama show or etc. I also set my drinks, food, and napkins in a certain area, or I can't eat. Also, I cannot eat during commercials.

Lol, I hope there wasn't a topic on this, I've searched, and i couldn't seem to find one.

I have to make sure that when I walk by a drawer or cabinet that's open, I HAVE to close it. Also when I ahve a bunch of random objects on a table in front of me, they cannot be touching. I don't know why, but I just randomly space then out. I think that's all the weird things I do...

Interesting topic. I have a couple of wierdo rituals.

- I can't leave for school unless everything in my room is picked up.
- When I'm at home I have to be watching tv while eating.. unless we are having a family dinner or something. I guess I get bored just sitting there eating.
- I have to listen to music while I drive.

with a few exceptions, none of the different foods on my plate can be touching... which isnt so mucha ritual...

o i thought of one! whenever its time for dinner, i always sit down, then get up again to get a drink, rather than just get a drink and then sit down... dunno why

i always have to listen to music when im in my room
i have to sleep with my fan on or else i can't fall asleep
i always sit in the same chair when i eat in the morning and when my carpool picks me up

- I have to have a pillow against the side of the wall when i go to sleep
- Before college in any shop get a bottle of cherry coke and a packet of sweets

Um before I go to sleep the door has to be open the bathroom light on and the bathroom door open , if not I get all fckin paranoid and I cant sleep.

-All posters I have must have four pieces of tape, exactly, and evenly spaced out on the wall.
-I have a certain place that I like, wait, HAVE to sit while I eat
-My books on my table can't be scattered, it just annoys me so much. They have to be stacked neatly on top of each other.

there's a few people i just have to talk to every day, otherwise i tend to go a little nuts.
i have to fully dance in my dance classes, i refuse to slack even if i'm dying of pain. i die after class.
i always have music playing when i'm on the computer.

Some people have rituals because it reminds them of things from the past. I think my teacher told us that she knew a lady who would only turn right to get anywhere because someone she knew died from turning left, or something along those lines.

mm, one of my weird rituals would be that I always have to have my door completely closed before I go to sleep. I've been doing that since forever and I do that so I can hear if someone comes into my room.

i have to eat things in twos and in the same color...like skittles, if i eat more than one at a time, i have to eat two of the same colors, one skittle in each cheek.

when i'm out with my boyfriend, his hand must be over mine i hate it when mine is over his. oh, and when we're eating we have to share the last bite

I always eat a snack (preferably gushers) right when I get home from school.

I get on the computer right when I get home, do my homework as I watch TV then I talk on the phone and fall asleap on the phone.

If I tap my foot, then I must tap the other foot. I won't feel even. The same goes for other stuff too.

Must press the snooze button at least once during school days. I set my alarm ten minutes earlier just to do that.

After I come home, I must walk to that same mirror and look at myself. I don't know why, really.

haha James you sound like Monk because none of the food on your plate cant be touching. Oh and whenever I go to turn on the tv, I turn it on and then get something to eat, rather then getting something to eat then turning it on. Also when I'm downstairs watching tv at night, I have to have at least 2 lights on (more like a phobia of the dark then a ritual but hey). Oh okay and another weird one. When I'm like tapping my figners or doing something involving a tune, I have to do it liek evenly spaced. Like I can't just end on some random note, I have to get to something that's maybe even.... I think that's all my weird rituals...

I always have to eat McDonalds on Sunday mornings or my week is crappy.

When I eat a Spicy Chicken sandwhich I always bite around the crust forming a circle, and then eat the chicken in the middle nd throw the rest away.

I always finish my hw before having fun. If I don't I'm gona have a nagging feeling dat something's not accomplished.

Hahah that's me too =] Except now I get lazy. But I do pile things on my bed during the day, like homework, jackets, etc, and I clean them all up everyday before I go to bed. Well, otherwise I'd have nowhere to sleep

When I wake up to my radio I turn it down to volume 2 and leave it for about 10 minutes than I turn it off and stare at the celling for 5 minutes than I sit up and stay there for a couple mintues and hten I get up and get dressed really fast cause I jsut wasted so muhc time doing nothing. I cna't wake up any other way cause I'm jsut too tired...or something ya...

Another thing I do (not sure if this is exactly a ritual) is I have a shower in the afternoon and wait till my hair dries than wait about..hmm..half an hour to 2 hours until I get so fed up with my hair I straighten it. I never do it right away caus eI'm always hopping one of these days my hair will dry nice and soft and straight hehe, good luck

oh oh, I thouhgt of another one. Before I go anywhere, espicially in the morning, I have to look at myself in my full length bedroom mirror, than go to the mirror in the bathroom and look at my hair and htne look at hte back of my head with another mirror and than go to my parents bedroom and look at msyelf in that lighting before I'm convinced that everything is jsut right. If it's not than I go into my bedroom and fix it (change a shirt, fix my hair etc.) than start the mirror rounds again . This s my way of preventing the days where you think you look awesome at home and then as soon as you arive somehwere you realize you are wearing sometihng that really doesn't match or your hair is messed up or something, and by that point you cna't do anything aobut it. Often if I'm oging somewhere for the whole day I'll jsut ask one of my family members on the way out if I look okay just to make sure

Another thing which isn't exactly a ritual is when I buy clothes I always wear the ones I bought ofr a week straight, everyday the same thing than on the weekend I go back to my old ones cause suddenly I realize how horrible my new ones are and wear those for a couple days, till I giv emy new ones a try again and realize that they are actulaly pretty nice, OR, that they suck, depending on what I bought obviusly. lol, it always happens like that, or simulairly. Cause right when I buy something I always think it's so rad, and htne I go thoruhg a faze where I love my old stuff and I'm not comfertable in the new stuff.. ya, it's kidna weird.

both of those for me too. also, whenever i hit something or knock into something i'll have to hit it or knock into it again to make it even or if i knock into it 3 times i'll have to make it four just so it's even.

In order to sleep, the chair of my desk HAS to be pushed in. And at school, the papers and books on have to be paralel to the sides of the desk. Don't ask!!! I never really thought much of these until I read this thread. Wow LoL

Oh yea, and also, before I turn out the lights to go 2 bed, I have to lock the door and then unlock it again.

I have to do everything in the same order each morning- wash, do my hair, do my makeup, get dressed, get my things together, and then eat. And before I go to sleep: wash, take out my contacts, brush my teeth, put on my jimjams, turn on my space heater (I always like my room hot for some reason), and then read.

also, i can't do anything, such as homework, early. even when i have free time, i can't do my homework if it's not due the next day. i'd rather waste time doing nothing and then stay up late the night before it's due. i just think i work better under pressure.

- When I sleep, the bathroom nightlight must be on, but with the bathroom door partially closed so there's just a little crack between the doorway and the door.
- I must leave the bathroom before the toilet finishes flushing. @_@
