I just read that book (because its my 10th grade year) and I thought the book was fairly good. It made me shout out how stupid some of the characters were which i can understand becaue there little kids. But if a book can do that then to me thats a pretty good book.

We had to read it my Sophomore year, but I read it in the fourth grade (for the first time). Good book.

It's not required for me yet....I've already seen the movie and my teacher read it to us in the 5th grade rolleyes.gif It's a really nice story and I wouldn't mind reading it for school.

I saw the movie in english a couple of weeks ago and I didn't think it did the book justice. If you have to read it for school, just read the book. Don't watch the movie because (in my opinion) it made it more confusing. But that little actress as a ham... that made me laugh.

^I must agree. It was such a good book! The only book I actually finished this year (out of all the required reading books)

Nope, but all teachers use it as their number one essay question thing. I was thinking about reading it, just incase a question comes up about it.
