ok well now i am in 7th grade. and i like this guy who happens to be really shy so i know i am going to have to make the first move someday. i kind of have a plan worked out already (haha i am wierd). towards the end of next year, since we will be graduating and going to high school, i plan to "pretend" like i am asking everyone their screen names to keep in touch (but i really will be i guess). so naturally i'll ask him and he'll probably give it to me. Now freshman year in highschool, say there is a dance or something, I would like to ask him to it. Is it better to call him or to instant message him?Since my school has their own phonebook i just have to look up his last name and there is his number. Or is this even a smart plan?

i personally thing that you should go with the instant messaging it's easier for you and him, since he's shy he can have time to think without being rushed because on AIM or AOL etc. you can take your time to answer and if you're nervous then it's good for you to say it online than on the phone.

well if a guy (like me) is shy (like i WAS) then u have to make the move. see if he wants to go the movies and get his attention. lean in and hopefull he will respond by leaning 2. but till ur freshmen year... ur in 7th grade.... u still have to get through 8th grade.... so im kinda confused..

Why are you waiting so long??? Freshman year, isnt that like two years away? Things could totally change by then. If you really like him a lot now, start talking to him more and become more friendlier with him. Then maybe he'll give you his sn and start to realize how you feel.

wow.....u must really like this guy seeming how ur in 7th and u want to wait till ur a freshy........just tell him how you feel, nothing bad will happen to be completely honest. the worst thing that will happen is them laughing at your or something like that but then you will realize that they are a douchebag and in my opinion, douchebags dont deserve to have gf's, they need to be castrated, staked, and burned. lol well not really cuz thats totaly mean but yeah, if he laughs at you for how you feel then you probably wont want to date him. and if he doesnt laugh then just maybe he feels the same way and you dont have to wait till your a freshy.

2 years can make a big difference. For all you know, he could move away, die(might be...), get with another person, etc...

Actually, why dont you just ask him now? Then if things work out u guys can go to the prom together or school dances now right? If, your shy asking him now then just say i need help with homework, or ask him privately when no ones looking. Maybe be u can act EXTREMELY friendly towards everyone and jus get to know him more.

AWWW thats so sweet!!!...well i think its a kool plan but why wait that long...get his sn or call him and start to get to know him...i mean you never know he might turn out to be this big jerk and stuff...i mean the only time you see him is at school...so anyone can hide who they really are...so just get to know him and you never know you might wanna do it earler....

i say........become his friend first...then make the move if he doesn't...i know a lot of guys that are shy..shoot my x was shy...but he made the move after we got to know eachother better. and now we're still good friends =)

I think you should actually become friends with him and talk to him instead of just only talking online and then wanting to ask someone to a dance that you only talk to online.. no matter if you call him that one time or not. You should talk to him in person!
