Alright, I realized that there were posts similar to this before but still, they weren't exactly related.
I really like one of my best guy friends, and practically all of my friends tell me that I should ask him out. I'm friends with all of his other close friends as well, and they keep insisting that he also likes me back. Although I'm not scared to ask him out and we get along very well, I am actually not too sure whether I want to ask him out or not. I believe that he likes me back, maybe not as much as I like him but still. The reason I am not very sure about asking him or not is because I don't want to ruin our friendship. Although going out would just bring us closer, I'm afraid that if we broke up we would not be as good friends anymore, or perhaps we might not talk anymore. I value his friendship a lot. What do you guys think I should do? |

hmm..i guess u have to risk it..if u want to date him then u got to risk the chance of breaking up and him not being really close with u..but not all relationships end like that..idk..it really depends on what u want to do..if u really like him, ask him out..take the risk..good luck!

If you want to date him, you have to risk your friendship. Although what you can do is talk to him about it. Ask him what he wants, cuz he might not think a bf/gf relationship is the best for you two. ( This shouldn't be too awkward anyway since, like you said, you aren't afraid to ask him out. Right? ) |

You always hafta make risks. This will be a risk. Say that it is possible that you guys end up going out, but eventually, you break up and the friendship is never the same, or possibly, non-existant? Would it be worth it to you??? I went out with my best friend and we broke up. We're still friends, but we fight a lot and we haven't been as close ever since. The friendship is completely unstable. Are you willing to risk it?

i would wait to see if he asked me out. i personally think it's the guy's job to take the initiative and ask a girl out, not the other way around. but that might just be me...

don't do it unless you KNOW that something big will come out of it because if you don't think that you will be with him forever, you could get in a big huge fight and not like each other anymore losing that great friendship.
 but if you think there is some REALLY something there, go for it.  good luck!
