It is possible to be a cheerleader if you aren't flexible. It doesn't hinder you from doing cheers, dances, or stunts...but i mean it's a big plus if you are flexible. you prob should work on it, cuz your jumps get better. and you won't hurt yourself in any of the stunts. Try stretching just for 30 min a day..it'll help you alot.
This might need to go in the sports forum

^^
agreed, it's not actually necessary but it helps a lot in being able to do more things and with more ease and whatnot.

It's possible, but it's not going to be as fun. I mean, you don't have to do splits or anything, but you should atleast have some flexibility.

Yeah to be a cheerleader, you should know how to be flexible all the time because there's a lot of cartwheels, backhand spring blah blahs... you know what I mean. Yeah, so it's like a hard thing if you are not flexible. I am not flexible at all, but I used to. Back then, I exercised a lot, but these days -- barely. Always staying home and just dancing haha... yeah anyways, are you a cheerleader right now?

Yea you dont need to be flexible, but it does help if your the flyer so you can do scale`s, healstreche`s etc. But no im not that flexible myself and im a cheerleader. Also it might help with your jump`s and stuff. But your bigest concern is being stiff and locked all the time. happy.gif
