hmm.. I wouldn't really know.. I haven't really shopped there. There aren't any of those stores in my area. But some stores have been adjusting their sizes due to people getting heavier... in the '50s, a size 14 was what a size 8 is today.

I love them. I think they fit perfect. But yeah, I've had to go down in sizes there. I thought it was because I was getting skinnier. Haha yeah right.

i know abercrombie and fitch owns hollister, and would that mean their sizes are the same? because i wear a 9 in hollister, but ive never tried a&f. But i did see a pair at TJ Max and i tried on a 7 and they felt like a 14... maybe your right. i'll check the size charts...

i see... hollisters clothes are maller than abercrombies all together...

my friend told me that the biggest size they make is L. and their L is like a M. I heard it's b/c they don't want chubby ppl wearing their clothes. but yea...their sizes are getting A LOT smaller. it's so annoying.

"fat people shouldn't wear our clothes." hahahahah that's horrible. yet i'm laughing. hahahahahahaha.

i dunno, i'm petite and i wear a medium size t shirt. *shrugs* a&f isn't exactly the most...welcoming store.

i never liked the store anyway. i still dont shop there. ive given in and will go look occasionally, though. ive still never seen anything ive actually had any desire to buy, however.

i would probably wear a large there. i usually wear a medium. i dont know. i find it ridiculous, but ive never had any respect for that store, so this isnt really lowering it

most chubby people that want to wear abercrombie look kinda bad because their sizes are too small. besides. i only see skinny, white people working there anyways. i don't shop there, just in case you were wondering. wink.gif

i dont shop there not because of their sizes but because of their prices. i'm a college student and i dont have 50$ to spend on a pair of jeans that are ripped up. that could go a long way if spent wisely. besides, ive never had any desire to go in there ... unless they were selling cds of the music they played, than thats another thing coming.

I guess they want a certain reputation for their brand =/ I bought a jacket in X-L (I like them big) but it was still pretty small on me and I have a pretty small frame

yeah, my sister was telling me about this. i really don't like abercrombie, and i feel disgusted whenever i have to go in there, so this just adds to it.

edit: isn't it ironic this topic is on the same page as "abercrombie jeans: is it just me or are they huge?".

^ yeah it mainly kinda liek designer clothes. they want peopel who are rich and skinny to buy there clothes because they want to look classy and liek a really nice brand. they haave an image to keep and thats people who are skinny rich and good looking to shop there. its good advertising but i do shop there and personally i think there stuff doen't shrink or liek doesn't rip easily.
